First, let me apologize if this has been mentioned already but I'm still trying to read through all of these posts. I'm using a custom style and the Connect to Facebook button and link is loading in the login box at the top of the page and in the navbar. I want to disable it in the navbar only but when I uncheck "Connect button in NavBar" in the options it removes the button in the login box at the top as well. How can I disable only the navbar button and leave the other in place?

when i go to my profile it says Customize My Profile, when i click it nothing happens how do i fix?

I did a search and saw Branca and someone else asked how to tie this to an existing user but I didn't see the answer from anyone...the discussion veered off into those getting 500 errors, so excuse me if someone has answered but I'd like to simply tie my existing account to fb rather than creating a new one as it is doing (pulling my fb name like xxxxx.xxxxx). How can I simply login to my existing forum account with fb?

I renamed my AdminCP directory. I assume that is why the Facebook options won't show up in the AdminCP. Will I have to use the original name of the directory to use this feature, or is there an easy workaround?

You need to create a Page on Facebook. Search on google for that exact phrase and you can find tutorials on how to. It's fairly simple.
As for the User ID you'll need to find it for your user on Facebook that you want to post as (like you). There are instructions in that field directly to the left on how to get this information. Look closely at the image you attached to your post.

this not working correctly with vb 4.1.2

Can anybody tell me how this is different than the Facebook connect option in 4.1.2?

Now that facebook is integrated with vbulletin 4 anyway. Is there a need for this mod? Or does it do a lot more than the basic integration?

I have had this installed on a forum in the past and it worked well, but at the same time it was a pain setting it up, would it conflict with the setup I already have? Many users have already connected via facebook already, if I disabled the vb4 integration and installed this, would it mess it all up?

I would also like to know how this differs from the built in system..

I have installed everything but instead of registering with fcb it sends me to the registration page to fill the form in with username, password, email etc etc etc

Hi everyone, this add-on has been updated to work with Facebook OAuth 2.0. Unfortunately, the new version only supports vBulletin 3.8.x. If you are using this add-on you must update it to keep it working. Getting the latest version here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=223555

Will this add-on automatically post threads from a specific forum, to our Facebook page, like an RSS feed?

You don't need a mod to do that, if the forum is open to the public it should have it's own RSS feed, so you can use a service like dlvr.it to have the feed post to FB.

Couple of issues having with this script, cheers in advance if you guys can help.

When I press "Connect with Facebook" I get a screen saying:
"Please establish the connection to Facebook before continue" with a login button

I then click log in and get taken to a new screen which says:
"Hi <username>
Hope you enjoy your stay at <sitenmae> Forums
Register Now!
It would take you... 1 minute!"

I then go back to the first screen when pressing register:
"Please establish the connection to Facebook before continue" with a login button

Then I get this:
Thank you, <username>
Connection to Facebook has been established...
Please choose an username for your <sitename> Forums Account

In order to be able to post messages on the <sitename> Forums forums, you must first register.
Please enter your desired user name, your email address and other required details in the form below.

But when I press submit, I get a dialog box coming up saying:
Please establish the connection to Facebook before continue

Any help? It's like the connection between the two is dropping?

i am using Facebook Connect (original) by VBulletin and working fine without problems.

i used this on an older version of vbulletin it worked great too bad the platform that comes with vb doesn't have all the features this has. if this were updated to work with vb 4.2.1 i would totally use it instead

Has this product taken into consideration the complete interface change that Facebook has done here the past few months? Since, vB4 now no longer has a Facebook integration that was built in. This could be come extremely valuable to those that was using the Facebook integration that was default to vB4.

Are you saying the FB integration in vb no longer works? I haven't tried it yet. I just installed 4.2.3 and I don't want to upgrade to vb5 until they make the plugin system better.

Anyways, I see this mod isn't supported and FB changes their structures all the time. So I don't know that this mod is a good fit.
