Hi Zelda-King,

Login into your Zoints Local (/z/), click Settings, then click Zoints Admin Area. From there click Members, search for the member name, and then click Login As User... which will make it so you are in his or her account and can edit the profile as you like.

Hey guys, top notch work on this one. I recently started a big online community for digital painters/concept artists and more.

Now I got a question: Is it possible to link the profile to the vbCredits? For instance, I as admin can set the amount of credits used to get their own zoints profile on my community. If this credit amount isn't reached they will just have the standard vBulletin profile page.

I currently running many mods and at the moment I am a bit lost in this profile thinggie...

i think i screw it up.:(

prev my forum is at /forums my dev move it to /forum (basically rename it and edit the config file) , forum work fine , BUt Zoint use the /forums links which i cant find anywhere.

how do i edit the Zoint to point to /forum instead of /forums ?

any help very much appreciated. tia:)

i suspect its not a zoints problem but some db misleading in vb .
even other plugins ive install , all nav bar lead to old or deleted /forums dir.

So the only thing I can do is to turn it on for all member or just to turn it off and showing the normal profile? It would even work if there is a setting to defina a minimal postcount which have to be reached to get the enhanced zoints profile unlocked...

I asked a few months ago for the problem with Greek characters in the usernames. The Zoints local produces a "special characters in username" error when you try to see the profile of a member that uses Greek characters in their username.

Any updates on this?

Hi, Just installed this and so far am impressed!

Can anyone advise though on where I can browse and download zoints blocks?

In the VB Admin panel, Theres only one page relating to zoints that can be accessed via VBOptions - all the rest is done via the admin panel on the zionts page - is that right?

Edit - One more thing, quite an important part of my forum and the users profile is Farcasters Event Attendance - This lists in their profile if they will be attending an event. Could anyone really help and suggest how this could be added into a block? I really dont have the knowledge to do something like that :(

I am assuming someone picked up your ticket, but even if it's not a Zoints problem hopefully we can help troubleshoot as to what the problem could be as we of course have experience with vBulletin in general and other modifications.

And that is correct, there is one page within vB Options for Zoints Local and the rest of the management of Zoints occurs through the ZAdmin.

As for the hack, I would make a post here (in the appropriate forum) and at dev.zoints.com looking for someone to take it on as a paid project. You could also consider messaging a few of the bigger block developers at dev.zoints.com to see if they are interested.

Nope, it's pretty much all or nothing. But you could set up promotions to be very attainable, like 10 posts, and if you have an automatic welcome PM you could inform the user of being able to access these profiles in 10 posts. Outside of that, there is not much you can do.

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade.
In the instructions in the first post it says: "Download the new zip file" There are 2 zip files. Which one should I downlaod?
Also, since I moved servers a lot of the functions are not working I suspect its because of chmod issues. What folders need to be chmod'd for everything to work correctly?

(Also, you can change the "thead" to "tcat" or "tfoot" if you like the color/image the style has there better.)

Please refer to the readme file in the above zip for which folders to chmod. Also, since you move servers a lot, you might have some configuration troubles (unless you adjust that as you move, since Zoints calls to the server path it was installed from.)

nowhere in the readme file are instructions on how to manually add the relevant template changes.

these automated template changes work on a search / replace algorithm which doesn't work if you've edited the portions of templates it's trying to find to replace. Thus, it's not working on a lot of my pages.

please advise.

also, with auto template edits on, or with them off and the $popup code entered in my navbar, the Profiles menu will not show up on my vBa CMPS portal page.

Did you try the postbit code in the above text? That will make it so there is a link to the members profile following their post count. Or are you asking about something else to display?

i'm talking about how you can show profile fields from a vBulletin profile (for instance, Location) in a postbit... is there a way to pull the Location information from a Zoints profile and show that in a postbit? or plans to make such functionality available?

yes please as if you look at many vB installations, at minimum the user's location is in their profile information and shown on a postbit. i'd like to bring that functionality to the table while using Zoints as my profile system.

We don't like to give out dates Murty, but we did push back our feature release version to include some additional features and allow for some more time to test (the security bug certainly didn't help either.) I can't give a date as that is not fair to the engineers, just know that we're hard at work on it.

Step 4 - During the installation you will need to register your forum with Zoints to obtain a token and authentication key

is this done though the install script or do i need to go to the forum and register there etc and how long does it take to get a key.

Hi Lasto,

You need to go to Zoints.com to complete that step. First register a Zoints.com account for yourself (this just takes a minute or two), then go to this link:

http://zoints.com/forum.z

If you fill out the appropriate information and proceed through, the token and key will be presented to you right away.

Glad to help. Receiving the key is immediate, it's not done through an email or anything like that, so if you decide to add Zoints it shouldn't be a step in the process to hold you up.

ive added zoints m8 but it dont use my style for the profile page is there anyway to allow this as it looks weird having purple/yellow or even other styles if they dont blend in with my orginal style.

Installation usually is completed very quickly, if you are having problems with the instructions or your forum is conflicting in some way we do have support systems. Have you tried opening a ticket? We would be glad to help resolve the issue for you.

I installed it, but it clashes with both my color scheme and layout. It made a 1/4 of the upper part of my forum graphics disappear.

While it's a good idea, it could use some serious improvement. I ended up having to remove this because I was unhappy with the end result.
