how is that any different than updating any other mod that require update of its php files?

its a simple drag and drop to ftp.

I am forced to do it every two weeks or a month, that's how. They control the client app and force server upgrades on our end, no "other" mod does that.

Is there a way to exclude certain forums from showing up in Tappa talk? I have some RSS feeds spamming the users :(

Hi Eric.. thanks for bringing this up.. we have been adding a lot of new features and bug fixes as we go (and for past over 1 year already) - that's why it need your support to constantly upgrading the MOD to make sure it provides the best experience to your members.

In any case the app would still work even if you do not upgrade the MOD, although some new features will gone missing.

Well this at least to show that we are still in very active development of this MOD and have been adding new stuffs in regular basis!

It should only prompt once. But we have also found an issue that in Opera browser it keep prompting, we have fixed this issue and will be include it in next release.

In any case you can try to remove the template edit and see if it improves the user experience a bit.

Thanks for the follow up, I do understand that you are working to better your product. It's just that I get a lot of PM's asking me to upgrade the server whenever there's a change which is a lot. Anyway I don't mean to say this isn't a great addon, in fact most on my site use it. :)
