You could use Recent Threads module and then selecting only article forum.

Currently only attached images will show as thumbnail on articles.php

where it says thread tools it says article tools in every forum even the ones that are not articles.

Hi Again Bananalive,
I am still having the problem of inline attachments in non-article forums showing up as linked images.

I have tried disabling my products one by one, but it seems to be the article forums that are doing in.

Forgot to mention that I also went back and did a totally clean install of the newest version as well.
