Great Mod!

2 questions..

1. Where can I set the starting credit for a new user? I couldn't find it either in admincp settings or group setting, and the new users start from 100 credits

2. Where in admincp do I decide which group (admin included) can give awards for specific post? and When a group is allowed to do that, where can the award be given?

- Post Award System
* AJAX Through Thread or Profile
What's that option? can I assign awards if I like a post?

thanks a lot
M

< Loves Vb Credits ! Reckon its the best MOD !

I want the credits integrated with the stats hack Cyb Advanced Forum Statistics.

I want a statement system, so ppl can view their monthly or weekly statements, including credits and debits.

I want integrations, with other hacks.. which possibly dont exist lol, to allow ppl to buy stuff, for their profile, avatar and acct.

Bring it on !!!!

integrations with those hacks dont exist. also, the backend for producing stats or statements will not be there until the next major release of vbcredits after 1.4 final.

If you are talking about the post award system, the old setting was split into 4 different limits which you must set. to give the same power to admins as they used to have, use all -1 (unlimited).

All of the settings you are looking for can be found in the usergroup editor. The new registration credits is the Induction award. The post award system is a way for you to grant (or take away) credits out of thin air basically, and the limits to prevent it from getting out of hand (or unlimited for trusted groups like admins) are also in the usergroup settings.

The new registration credits is the Induction award.:

It is set to 1 but for that group always starts from 100 :(
any reason why does it happen?

What about the credits.gif image? Where should it pop out?
thanks for your interest

keep in mind that if you have email verification, users actually are inducted into two usergroups. first, the "users awaiting email confirmation" and then "registered users". I recommend putting 0 for awaiting confirmation, and 1 for registered users. Also to avoid confusion make sure induction is unchecked from the applicable negation awards in the global award settings for vbcredits.

credits.gif shows up for the post award system only. if a group has a nonzero limit available it will appear and be the icon for the ajax menu that pops up.

Hi, about the induction It is set "0" to all the group and "1" to the "new user" group, but they still start from 100 when they sign up. Is there any table of the vbcredits menu where this 100 credits could be set on?

About the "nonzero limit", sorry, I cannot find it! This nonzero limit should be set for the usergroup (adminsitrator, moderators) who will assing the awards?

I go to VbCredits/ Manage usergroup awards/ usergroup
I can find the 4 sections "vBCredits Awards", "vBCredits Permissions", "Donations and the Post Award System", "Banking, Loans and Drawings", but I don't see the nonzero limit area
thanks again for your help.

nope, you must have missed one which still has the default 100 induction amount.

the last 4 settings in the donation and post award system block of settings need to have nonzero values (that is, values that are not 0...) if you want unlimited, put -1 for all 4.

I'll let you know about the induction, now it is all set like you told me to be.
ABout the credits.gif image, I put "-1" in the last 4 settings, either for the administrator usergroup setting, and the user usergroups setting. So technically I should see this image (link is in the folder http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/image...ns/credits.gif) but i don't see it..

code in my postbit legacy should be correct also..
Code:

<if condition="$show['credits_postadd']">
                        <span id="creditsmenu_$post[postid]"><a href="credits.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow" id="credits_$post[postid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/credits.gif" alt="<phrase 1="$post[username]" 2="$vbphrase[credits]">$vbphrase[credits_threadaward]</phrase>" border="0" /></a></span>
                        <if condition="$show['popups']"><script type="text/javascript"> vbcdt_register("$post[postid]")</script></if>

Thanks :)

i do not recommend allowing unlimited use of the post award system for regular users as they will begin to give each other billions and billions of credits and thats an understatement.

it should appear next to the report post icon and reputation granting icon etc
