I too have this issue.

I have followed the instructions to install the product, the vbshout.php is loaded in my forum root folder which I cannot chmod to 777 as I just get a white error page.

Am running vbulletin 3.6.5

Can anyone shed any light on this? i have seached this thread for answers but on-one seems to really provide an answer.

Thanks!

Go to your webserver files under forum root, if you find a folder called vbshout, inside the folder will be vbshout.php. Remove the vbshout.php file and put it in your forum root delete the folder vbshout. Open your forum home and it should work now.

There's definately no vbshout folder, only the php file.

This is gonna sound like a dumb question, but how? The file is loaded in the forum's root folder.

First off you probably are not experiencing the same problem as I just encountered the loading issue, and it was because the php file was in a folder and not in the forum root. If this is not your problem then explain what is the exact problem without the quote of the other post. Is ajax enabled on your board
