Hey guys I am using the download manager II mod in VB directly though this mod (rar zip) I get a CRC error or corrupt archive, but when uploading manually via FTP I get no issue...do you guys know why? I know the mod is not broken because I recently moved servers, I Think its a file permission error somewhere. (Yes downloads directory is 777).

UPDATE: Ok apparently its something wrong with mod or my server config...

If I download the direct url stored on my FTP vai www......RAR it opens up just fine, but if I try to download SAME file through download manager...then I get CRC error...any idea?

Any way to limit how many times, or how many times per day users can download same file or multiple ?

There's no setting for a single file but you can limit how many downloads a usergroup can download in one day.

Admin CP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > [Edit usergroup to apply restriction to] > DownloadsII Permissions > This is the maximum number of files that a user can download in one day. Set this to -1 for there to be NO limit.

I as well am having the same issue when uploading files.

I verified <input type="hidden" name="securitytoken" value="$bbuserinfo[securitytoken]" /> is in all the templates already no need to add.

Maybe it not in a perticular form but I see it in the below templates in all my styles. Am I missing something???
Downloads Template >>
DOWNLOADS
downloads_buddy_assign_usr
downloads_file
downloads_file_addit
downloads_man
downloads_search

Nice piece of work thanks

But please I am stuck when I upload a file when the file is upload IE say cant display this page so I have to click on the back button and refresh the page before it shows the file

Can someone please help on this

Thank You

Try the same as I said to blazinthu below in this post. First the downloads.php code change and it that doesn't work, the .htaccess changes from vB.com.

Hey guys,

I've recently upgraded my forum to 3.7 but since then, the smilies-box is really making the downloads page look awful. This is because the box is next to the box for quick reply instead of below it. I know I've had it below the quick reply box before the upgrade but I have no idea how I did that (if I even did it lol).

Can anyone help me with moving the smiliesbox below the quick reply box?

Thanks in advance.

Take care,

Bozza

Have a look at this post. Install the add-on trynksssj2 mentions and do the code change I proposed.

There's a mass import feature in the AdminCP to import files from a directory on your FTP.

I know there's a DownloadsII extension for vBSEO available at their forums, but I'm not using any SEO mods myself.

All security tokens are in place. This is a problem with the large files. You will probably have the same when uploading large attachments in vB itself.

You can try this:

Open downloads.php
Find
PHP Code:

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);

Add this after it:
PHP Code:

@set_time_limit(0);

If that doesn't work, read #3 in http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=268862 for more information (but disregard the my.cnf MySQL part, DownloadsII is only storing its files in the filesystem, not in the database).

I ended up changing post_max_size and upload_max_filesize in my php.ini to like 30MB each which worked do you recomend this or should I make the edit to the PHP instead??
