I am getting the following message:

The Points Market is currently disabled. This can occur for a number of reasons. The most likely reason is that you currently do not have any earned points. In order to access the Point Market you must have at least 1 point. Another reason you could be seeing this error is the point field entered into the Point Market Control Panel is incorrect or was not found.

I have points using VBactivity but it is still telling me that I don't have any in the admin I put dbtech_vbactivity_points and saved everything...

any ideas

Did you turn the point market on? Settings--->Options----> Point Market: Global Settings

Make sure you have given usergroup permissions-

go to usergroups--->administrator---->point market permissions

You need to do this with each usergroup. Did you do this already?

Can you use authorize.net with payment?

I went to usergroups and these are the options I have:

Usergroup Manager
Add New Usergroup
Join Requests
Promotions
Forum Permissions
Administrator Permissions

I looks in the permissions ones and didn't find what you are talking about...

I am also getting this in the error checker:

Point Field: credits The point field has been entered but no data exists in this field name.

FOUND IT!!

It was under Usergroup Manager. Thank you very much for your help would still be lost without your help!

It also turns out that VBCredits II Deluxe in the points field doesnt work... had to put vbactivity

I still need help with my issue however..... :p

Someone purchsed points using paypal and they are not showing up. I made sure to fill every blank out in the Payment Converter section. The money showed up in my paypal account but the point didn't go to the user???

i am confused here. Where exactly do you go inside the store to convert points anyways?? Plus, my store still says Version: 3.0.0 RC 3 even though i upgraded to RC 4.

Ok, i have the dragonbyte technologies triple triad mod installed on my forum. Instead of having to buy the card decks from inside the TT area, i want to use the point market to buy them instead. So, with that being said, which template or where do i need to go to to create a new item in the market? I have the url it uses to process buying a deck of cards:

Or, is this something that could possibly be implemented on a future release of the point market maybe? It is the TT lite version, which is free, so i wouldnt think there would be a problem. Vbexperience uses DB free products

When i upgrade Point Market 3.0rc4.zip :
- All color of User is not show on Advanced Forum Statistics,What's Going On?,Profile and view post by user.
That's conflict with Hasann - Username Html Markup, Usergroup Color Bar or other...

I have a forum that already uses custom colors with usergroups. When I have this plugin enabled, it is messing with my usergroup colors. Is there a way to enabled this plugin and not have it override my already set up usergroup colors!

I believe it edit's certain areas of the themes. If I knew which parts it edited, I could manually revert them back after installing the plugin or disable the edits all together.

If I went into the plugins and disabled the User Manipulation plugin, it fixed it. I was also able to edit it!

Im having a problem tho, when we were testing the product we changed thread colors or also we added the "delete line". Is there a way to undo those?

I've tried reading through all the pages, please believe that I have haha.

So I've installed, set permissions for the two usergroups I'm testing. Logged into one account and donated 70,000 points to user B. Log in with User B and find a PM telling me that User A has donated 70,000 points to me. But the points for User B still show his original 2,000 total. The points are gone from User A though.

I've waited in case it was waiting to be processed, kind of like how money doesn't clear instantly in your bank usually. I also went through any settings and can't find the points.

I did purchase the Donation History addition with User B and I can see the "Donations to me" and see the 70,000 from User A listed. But alas not reflected in my total.

So is there something I'm missing here? I'm using RC 4 (though to be fair it reports itself as RC 3)

Alright I am back from my vacation and quite burned. I'll get to replying to everyone's issues this week with RC 5 finally. I return to college this week; however, my work schedule is far lighter, which is good.

Don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but when I go to admincp or reply to messages the color HTML shows up with the username, so I have to delete and enter it all manually.

Would it be possible to add the following?

* Ability to change the SHOWN! username (original login still exists)
Use bb-code and smilies. System charges a predefined amount of money PER bb-code and another amount per smiley.

* same as above for the title

for both: Admin can deny the usage of specific colors and fontsizes.

* Buy the usage of special smilies
Users can "buy" the usage of special smilies on a per use base.
So a user buys the "Blafoo"-Smiley 5 times, he can use it 5 times.
If a user quotes the text with the smiley only the code for the smiley is there, because he can't use it.
(I am aware that users could use the image-code but we got mostly fair users :))

* Buy posting backgrounds
Predefined backgrounds for posts of the user or for another amount (mostly higher) a self taken (but being checked by an admin) background image / color which is always charged even if it gets denied.

* timed Items
Being able to gift virtual items to other users that vanish after a preset amount of time
(Like you give someone a virtual kiss (and no I won't use that xD just a simple example))
This Item is visible in the profile and under the signature.
There are two sizes each 32*32 and 16*16pixel. 16*16 for the signature and 32*32 for the profile

* BB-Code usage for Threadtitles
Users can use BB-Code in threadtitles (Admin can deny the usage of specific codes/colors/font-sizes) on a per thread-base. So if he buys 3x he can use the bb-code in the title for three threads. Threads where he doesn't use them, won't count.

Just giving you guys some great news, I've been able to find and apply fixes for several of the major issues remaining. Gold is going to be the next release instead of RC 5 :)

i noticed this mod overwrites groups Username HTML Markup; how do i stop it from doing that? i can't start telling all staff to buy username color O.o moreover - i've disabled the ability to buy username colors.

Re-overwrite the html markup.

Set the username colors price at zero, either ask your staff to buy the color or use log-in-as-admin and then put the price up.

Personally, I wouldnt use that feature full stop.

With the release I ended up doing, I gave the admin more options on controlling where the username markup is overwritten. For the first 6 months in the market lifespan, it always did just the showthread and member profile. With the new release it did a markup pretty much everywhere.

So in gold, it is going to give you the option on what pages it does the markup overwrite. That way for some forums your staff won't have to buy new colors or tags where on other forums you might actually prefer it show everywhere. This should give you greater flexibility in your forum settings :)

Thread strikethrough option...

I can't get the strikethrough option off now lol despite disabling the item, so all my threads are strikethrough. How do I make them normal again?

Also, can I use this point market system as a virtual payment processor?
Example:
With 200 points, user can can buy 1 month of subscription or usergroup and when time expired, they will be back to normal members.

Is this doable?

It's too much hassle to manually upgrade users after a promotion if you can follow me :)

I installed it a few days ago, and I like it..alot! Adds alot of interest to the site, although we are still in just the testing and development stage, it is entertaining for us.

Just out of curiosity, how many users of the market actually allow moderators to be fired via the market?

What other market items have you added/subtracted from the basic setup?

Enabling the user strike through option on threads has caused a whole host of problems at my site.

I've had to disable the whole modification, as once I'd purchased the thread strikethrough, it affected all threads, and some other stuff too.

Here's the easiest way to fix a bad thread strikethrough because I made some mistakes with my html on it. Edit the user who has thread strikethrough enabled on the admin cp and remove it. Then whenever you have done that, go to the Maintenance section of the Point Market and run the update threads. This will fix all current threads and remove any user's thread strikethrough effect from threads who has it or no longer has it. :)

In gold, I redid how I calculated thread strikethrough so it's better.

I have a problem...

when i active the Poin Maker all the user are colored by blue... why this happened?

I have this same problem with the thread color purchase.

Disabled now, and some threads remain colored in threadlist.

But when I run the maint update threads, it never seems to stop, ever. I ran it for a very long time once and it never stopped, nor corrected the thread color.

Should I also edit in admin cp for those that bought thread color?

And how i can do to reset every Purchases ?

I mean, not the Points, but to reset all the purchases like users never have bought its.

I downloaded and intsalled RC4 but once it is installed it says it's RC3.
