If the user has a polish chart in the FB username, than after creating an account at my forum, national fonts are not displayed correctly as show in the attached file. Thx in advance for any hints.

Notifications were depreciated by Facebook a while back now hence this feature will no longer work

Hi, thanks for this great MOD. It is working for me except for a very small glitch:

In the "you have logged in" message, there is a period ( dot ) in front of each sentence. How do I correct it? Please take a look of the screenshot

I did a search here but couldn't find anything. Am I the only one having this problem?

yeah, I haven't gotten the built in Facebook to work either yet but I think it's template issues, I just need to dig in to it also.

The first post I got to on this thread told me to look a few replies before it, I SCROLLED back for 3 pages and cant find the real solution cept that I know it has conflicts with some other plugins... can someone please guide me how to fix this? would appreciate, thanks

EDIT: Fixed, Look under Plugin Manager and not Manage Products............. damn

running version 2.2.5 of this....is it safe to upgrade from 2.2.5 to 3.3.2 or do i need to find/install the older upgrades first?

Ok so I've installed this and had a few problems, some which I've resolved and others not I've been unsuccessful with.

I'm a 3.7.2 user if this helps.

One is when I click on my forum MAIN titles, it seems to take me to a 404 Blank page error, I know this plugin caused this due to turning it off to test.

Also I get these errors at the very top when I go into any of the posts made on the forum.. Its rather weird as it doesn't show these errors on the forum home or login page. Could this be a wrong line of code with the postbit and legacy?

Now, after reading all 73 pages that may I add took me two hours, I seem to think this has something to do with open_basedir can someone confirm this for me please?

Also one last thing, a dude posted some code to add to the header/Nav for facebook connect, I added the below code but it doesn't do anything... is there a specific link to be added where the ./facebook.php that pops up the facebook sign in box? Because its doing nothing when I click it, just sits there.

I would like to get these few things sorted as its a very good mod to have, unfortunately I'd have to remove it if my forum isn't kept clean of these errors plastered within the header.

Does anybody know how to stop it from logging a person out of facebook when they logout of the forum?

How do I turn off options after they are turned on? I want to make sure PM post to wall are completely disabled. It seems there is a check box below PMs that is auto-checked to "post to wall."

Could I add the registered users to default facebook integration in vB4 or will they be lost?

I'm trying to import YAFBB. It gets to the import product screen and sits there spinning without moving on to anything else. I've got all of the other products turned off. What might I be doing wrong?

I'm trying to install on 3.8.6 with the same result. Did you ever get past the "Importing Product" screen?

Nope. Whatever it did caused the database to balloon in size by a few gigs. I had to delete and restore our (originally) 7gig database. We're also on 3.8.6.

I vaguely remember downloading and attempting to install this mod back in July when we were still on 3.8.2 and also ending up stuck on the Importing Product screen.

Wow! I don't think the db increased but then again I haven't checked.

I DID get it to finally take. I disabled the "No Spam" plugin although I'm not sure that was an issue. I tried the import 3 or 4 times without success. But then I noticed that I could access the setup links under vbulletin settings. So I added the FB codes and saved it. Then I did the import again and it worked!

Weird.

Hmmm. Maybe it's worth another shot. How long did that take?

yes the link still works. but you should be logged in to facebook prior to klick it and you must allow the application "facebook developer"

VBulletin 4.0 requires SSL access for Facebook Connect. Does YAFB require SSL as well?

Where you put the file into your file manager? I thought VB plugins were PHP code not folders?

Seeing notifications from FB about deprecation occurring on Jan 7. How will this impact things?

I second TPTP. We have received a few emails from Facebook relating the profile.setfbml method. We tried to grep our way to where they are called, and we seem to think it concerns the "create box" / tab on a FB user's page, maybe containing the latest updates from the forum. If this is so, we did not find a way to disable them from the plugin's options page - meaning that we tried to disable them from the admin options page, but you can still find the switches the users' facebook options page.

So, we still don't know whether it will be a breaking change or not.

Anyone has looked into this a little bit deeper?

I've been looking at Facebook Developers since yesterday, and all I can grasp in the debates going on in their forums is that this has more to do with Facebook Applications on Facebook itself. I could be wrong, but it has something to do with profile actions. I don't think this modification has many profile actions other that Wall posting and maybe the picture posting. That might be the only thing to look out for on the 17th. (Date was moved back.)

thats impossible. i knew that 15 users are connected.

Enable this plugin and I get an error of "HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request." when attempting to view any forum post. Disable it and my forums work fine.

IVE had this for a while and it worked great with no problem but i recently wanted to add a mod that puts a FB LIKE & TWEET above the forum in the showthread template well , unfortunately . i couldnt have both without losing the other ,. in order to have the facebook like next to the tweet . i had to disable this mod because it was giving me server errors with them both being enabled, meaning the defualt VB FACEBOOK & this DEV'S FACEBOOK brigde . i dont know what the hell someone else was talking about this not being a great mod . but i tell you it is . running on VB 4.1 patch 2 ..
however sadly had to enable due to the 2 conflicting one another ... if anyone has them both running and knows a fix let me know thank you all & thank you DEV ......

I tried to register on a site with my email address, and because I'd forgotten I'd registered using my Facebook account, it didn't let me re-register because my email was the same on Facebook, but told me to use my existing account. I assumed it worked this way for everyone. You're certainly not going to be able to use your Facebook account for more than one registration.

Also would like to suggest you instead of asking users to connect to facebook is it not possible that which ever section you choose all the newly posted threads appear directly on news feed without prompting users to connect facebook?
