Curious so I can know if I should download your official releases or if I will lose that cool feature in 3.7

You have the latest released version. v3.6 in first post is older version than v3.7 so if you downgrade you will lose the feature of View results Poll

v3.7 will be released soonish in first post and will be hopefully be more user friendly and easier to use. It will also contain the View Results Poll.

Are you pressing ctrl to select more than one usergroup.

You show be altering 'Usergroups Allowed to View Forms' in 'Easy Forms Options'

The highlighted usergroups are those who can view and submit forms

What is the error message? Or is it just the standard No Permission Error?

Also check form usergroup permissions in Edit Form. Leave no usergroups selected to disable the feature.

nalexandre 06-11-2009 10:17 AM

Hi, is the standard no permission page. I´ve already made that but still the same, what i am doing wrong?

Obrigado

Elenna 06-11-2009 10:14 PM

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I need to wait for a cron job to run, but it appears that it isn't updating my users' post counts when they submit a new thread. I am using version 3.7 from a few posts up.

I do have a caching mod set up, but viewed the user in AdminCP (which isn't cached) and it didn't update their post counts on that screen either.

Have you got anything in the either of the form hook boxes?

I've had a look at the post counts of users at my website who have used the form to submit threads and they have all been correct. (I checked by searching for 'Find all posts by X')

Hi,
When using a drop down field is it possiable to have it display the actul option rather than the number. IE if I have apple, pear, hotdog etc. and the users selects pear it would output 2 rather than "pear".
Also for some reason If I submit a vb editor field it outputs the smilies as text rather than the images :S

Thanks,
Damian

Use $qo[45] where 45 is the question hash

I'll have a look into the smilies issue.

Thank you for looking into it! The posts are coming up when I search for "posts by user", but not updating their post count. I'll look at my caching settings and see if it's holding things up (I have a notification using post count).

Elenna 06-12-2009 07:02 PM

Update: I re-imported v3.6 and it is now incrementing post counts.

Also, v3.7 didn't display my custom "Thank you" message after form submission, but version 3.6 (official) did.

Ok, that fixed it but now the prefixes for the thread title arent working.

I got this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/thebroth/public_html/misc.php(100) : eval()'d code(3544) : eval()'d code on line 1

Form works but that is annoying :)

Though the forms list shows in WOL, the form itself does not.

Is there a fix for this?

If I click a form to go to from the list, WOL shows me on the forum's Index page.

Finster 06-17-2009 05:25 AM

Clue me in, as I am clueless, but why would someone want to create a form on on their vB?

Saviour 06-17-2009 05:46 AM

How about if an admin was sending out little gifts to members thanking them for support?

Could use this mod to obtain mailing info.

How about moderator applications?

The list goes on and on...

Elenna 06-17-2009 02:44 PM

We are using it for 3 different application forms, one request form, and one survey.

steve71 06-18-2009 04:02 AM

I have the hack "Thread thumbnails" and was wondering If I can add this to the form page?

I have been inserting different hooks from the "thread thumbnails" plugin into the form "hooks" box provided but no luck.

Also anybody...what does the check box option "save to database" do? Does it give you the ability to search the forms specifically or something?

Saviour 06-18-2009 01:38 PM

bananalive...

Forgot to mention...this is an awesome mod! Very easy to use...and I'm very happy with the results.

Thank you...so much!

I can't help with your other question, but the Save to Database allows you to just save the form results, without sending it to a thread, PM, email, etc. Then you can review all the submitted answered at a later time. The option is great for surveys or polls.

I know that this is a dumb, question, but I cannot get the conditional statements to work.

I have a question (q_11) - Shipping? o Yes o No

q_11 is a yes/no field

I want the output to be <if $q_11 == "1">Yes<else>No</else></if>

I have tried everything I can think of, but it just prints the code out, including the if statements!

You can use $qo[11] to display yes/no

It uses the same conditionals as templates so:

HTML Code:

<if condition="$qo[11]==1">You selected yes<else />You selected no</if>

I'll add WOL to next version.

I'm not sure if its possible but you could try this:

Find in plugin Easy Forms Part 1:
PHP Code:

/*($hook = vBulletinHook::fetch_hook('newthread_post_complete')) ? eval($hook) : false;*/

Replace:
PHP Code:

($hook vBulletinHook::fetch_hook('newthread_post_complete')) ? eval($hook) : false

Then see if you get any messages or anything.

Great Mod!

Is there any way for the users to retreive their posted data and edit the data and only submit the form once?

Thanks!

No luck (no errors just no change) but thanks for trying.

I notice on the forms edit page you can call up hooks..I was wondering if I might be able to call up the thread thumbnail hook? (Instead of editing the easy form hack through VB plugin manager.)

Great mod ! :)

Hi, how do I remove the italics from the answers to the questions in the forms? Thanks.

Dear All,

i have a problem with a break after a SECTION. The single text line after a section is not a new line. It is attached to the section description. Please see the attached screenshot.

Any ideas ?

Edit your form - in the top section, there are a few fields that deal with formatting. Look for the "answer" one. It should already have something in it, like [indent][i] and [/i][/indent].

Remove the [i] and [/i], and that will remove the italics.
