Can some one help me with this before I uninstall and forget about it! I really would like to get this to work!

I got it finally I did a complete un-install and slowly went through the steps again and so far everything looks good! I still don't know what I was doing wrong but it's up and running.

Can anyone help me out with this?? Am really confused.

There seems to be a conflict with AME that I've noticed as well. And, anytime that I try to add new bbcode, it gives me an error message. Once I disable the video directory mod, the bbcode is added with no issues.

Although, the video directory is a FANTASTIC mod, there seems to be that slight bug or conflict. Jaxel, I can find the error message for you if you'd like to research it.

Somehow i get

While trying to post comment, permissions are set up properly and it was working fine before upgrade.

[1] Hi ! Can you help me with this ? Everytime i am adding a video and automatically create a thread for the new video, i am getting this "THIS VIDEO DOES NOT EXIST" message. Is it because of DJ AME or something else ? Thank you in advance for your help !

[2] Later edit: I think i found out why there is a "THIS VIDEO DOES NOT EXIST" message on the newly created thread. It's because the video contains [ ] characters inside the title and therefore the bbcode can't handle it correctly". How can this be fixed ?

When you type/paste the URL into the space, simply change the HTTP to HDEF and it should bring over the larger HD version of the video.

Yes, i noticed that... but now i have a few hundred videos already inserted... and no way to edit them back. Btw, is it possible in the future to add a way to modify the links ? So we can modify http with hdef or even repair if the link to the video is down...

This Idea Is Very Important for a Future Update of the Mod, Jaxel. ;)

And Also the List of Comments in a Page to be able to Read the Latest Comments and Moderate them if Necessary; in the Current Version is Impossible to do that, so is not Possible to Control the Comments that Users Make. If you can Include this in Your Next Update I'd Appreciate it Very Much, Jaxel. ;)

i successfully installed the product. But product does not support all the hosters as i saw. Please can you help me where i can find new hosters and import them. I already add some videos from metacafe but i could not add from google and myspace..

Has anyone figured out how to rename the "Video Directory" link in the navbar ?

In order to rename the navbar link, you have to edit the phrase "video_directory" .

To do that, simply go to admincp >> Languages & Phrases >> Search in Phrases .... then, enter video_directory in the "Search for Text" field. Then, click on the radio button choice Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name and click "find".

Click the edit button next to the "Video Directory Phrases Containing 'video_directory'" phrase. Once you go to the next screen, simply type what you'd like as your text in the comment field/box ("English/US Translation") and click 'save'.

Jaxel, some Questions:

- What Plugin of the Mod's Plugins is the Used to Post and to Edit the Comments? :confused:

- What is the Name of the Variable of the Number of the Video? :confused:

Perhaps might be Possible to Add on those Plugins a Routine that Sends the Designed Administrator (ID Number) a PM Telling that a Comment has been Added or Edited, so that the Admin can Go to the Video and Check the Comment.

Could you Please Point me to the Names of those Plugins and to the Name of the Variable, Please? ;)

If I Can do That I Might Share the Code I Produce for You and Any User of this Mod to Use it too. ;)

2 Bugs I Found on the Comments System (I've done this on FireFox):

1. When a Comment is made the Ajax Works but the "Save Comment" Button is Turned Off.

2. When Trying to Delete a Comment the Page Stays Thinking and Blocked; I has to Close the Window and Open it Agan and the Video Comment weren't Deleted; I tried also to Open the Delete Comment Link in a New Window and it Shows the Video but Doesn't Delete the Comment.

The Delete Comment Link is like this:

For Now I Have the Comment System Turned Off for Users for this Bugs and also for what I mentioned Early Jaxel, is Impossible to Moderate the Comments if there is No Way to List them and Review the Latest Ones.

I Hope you can Correct the Bugs and also Provide the way to List and Review the Comments to be able to Moderate them; Imagine SPAMMERS Posting Comments that the Admins Won't be Able to Locate and Delete. :eek:

Comment deletion doesn't work.
No option to turn off comments.
No option to turn off tag cloud.

Did this manually but it would be nice to have options.

Make sure that the "Add Video" button is located in the proper directory, especially if you have a custom style added.

You Can Disallow Usergroups to Post Comments on the Usergroup Permissions.

I Hope Jaxel can Correct the Bug and also Provide the Way to List and Moderate the Comments; Imagine that a Board have 500 Videos and a Porno-SPAMMER Posts 50 Comments with Porno Links on your Videos; how can the Admin Locate the Latest Posted Comments to Delete the Ones that Contain SPAM? :confused: Right Now is Not Possible, the Admin would have to review ALL the Videos wich is Not Possible, (imagine 1,000 or more Videos). :(

Now Jaxel, it'd also be Important to Have a Link to Delete the Comment on the Comments List to be able to Fast-Delete the Comment (not to have to Browse to the Video, Locate the Comment and Delete it), and also that on the Mod's Options we can Determine how many Comments to List Per Page (20, 50, etc). :confused:

I Think this Improvement is Very Important for your Next Update and also the Corrections to the Bugs.

For Now I Have the Comments System Disabled until they can be Controled and Moderated, right now is a Great Window for SPAMMERS to Fest and don't be Caught. :(

Did You Reverted the Mod's Templates? Perhaps You Edited the Templates and the Changes are not being Applied on the Previous Versions of the Templates.

Hi. I am running VBCMPS, not sure if that causes the problem. When I press the upload video butto, it appends another address to the end of the existing one like this...

Anyone know where the extra url comes from? I have checked the CP for this product, but no directory settings. Maybe video.php? Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.

I really can't think of any reason it would do that, other than a potential conflict with something else.

Hey, is it possible to have multiple video url inputs for the same video? So we can put in different host sites of the same video. And when users view the vid, there's a tab in which they can press to switch over to another host stream in case it gets broken. Thanks
