It looks like Hulu just changed things up again. The urls don't match the embed ids as of now.

My vB is set up a bit diff from others.

I have no "forums" (I presume this is the upload folder we renamed) folder. The contents of that folder are loose in my html.

If I were to try to move your admincp, images and includes folders---there are already folders by these names there (those from the vB program).

Please advise.

Just upload the content of the "forums" folder to where you keep your forums, exactly the way it's structured. The folders inside are supposed to have the same name as the folders on your site. That's how the FTP knows where to put their contents.

Erm... new videos are auto embedded correctly but all posts who has the ame tag (before the upgrade to vB 3.7.0 RC1) aren't being displayed. I get just strings.
Anyone knows how to solve it?

I have fixed the original Revver XML file so it now works.

Just import as normal and it should work.

This does not work for me either we only use YouTube and after installing this mod nothing has changed they still display as a link nothing more and when I use the Tool Rebuild Post's during the process all I get is Not Changed ???

Ok I found why it was not working it was due to the fact the links had tags in place once removed then the the mod worked.

BUT

This is major on my VBAdvance page my left colum ends up under the vid along with everything else at the bottom of the page in one colum under the vid and this is not good for my site as we need a vid on the VBadvanced page.

What needs to be fixed or is a bug in the mod. ??? :(

NM. Seems that I misinterpreted Usergroup Exclusions. :) It has to do with posting rights and not viewing rights. Ah well...

Can anyone help me out with the Putfile xml ? I've had to uninstall it for the momemt as the video box would display on my forums but the 'Play' button shown mid screen didn't work at all, when I click the lower play button, that opened up the video but in the Putfile site.

I have made this module work for rediff.com and i am attaching it herewith...

This is my first even though very small contribution to the community from which i have gained so much, so i feel very happy :)

Couple of things:

1) I have this working with 3.7 RC1. There were no problems.
2) I have this working with vbSEO. Again, no problems.
3) I wanted to use this to update links to Amazon with my affiliate code. I don't know if this came with an amazon link out of the box, or if it was one I uploaded, but never enabled - but anyhow, I've attached my updated amazon link updater.

It includes a picture of the book in the link, and uses the simplest amazon url that I could come up with. I use the options to place the link in a container - so the picture/link doesn't make a paragraph indecipherable. I attached a screenie, but here's a link to a thread that shows off what this does.

Once you've imported it, you have to go into your AME options and edit the "replacement text". Replace stopmomstop-20 with your own affiliate id. Or, heck, if you just like the feature and don't care about amazon commissions, leave it as is :D.

I tried it but its not parsing the links there. It would be a very good functionality to have in groups as well.

For me it works only if I use the tags/

For example if i put only the address like that:
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32309.html

It will only display the URL not the embed video.

However I I put the ame tags like that:
[ame]http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32309.html[/ame]

Is working.

I noticed that I did not see any clicks on my amazon account, so I checked the amazon discussion forums, and commented at beckism about the url format.

It appears that, the shortest url format that was recommended at beckism isn't working, but a slightly longer format does work, and I did find this format officially recommended by amazon at least once. Essentially, it's ending the url with ?tag=associatesid instead of /associatesid

I've updated the original xml file, and I'm also attaching it here.

For those of you wondering what I'm talking about, this is an AME xml file for converting amazon links to affiliate links and including a product picture as well. More details and a screenshot here.

Guys, Stage6 has closed down. They were buggy, required all users to download their viewer, etc.

Now Vimeo has awesome HD and it works like the dogs bollocks as we say in the UK.

We REALLY need someone to make an add-on code for Vimeo videos as right now we get a 'failed to parse the url" message box within AME.

Help?

I think that's rather risky since those videos are exclusive to Hulu.com. I would not embed their videos.

If that's the case, then hulu.com should really remove the "share" and "embed" buttons on all of their video content.
