no you dont need to do anything in adv_index ... just type

adv_index

in the vbulletin options - vbulletin options - cyb advanced forum statistics - Stats on Custom Pages (OPTIONAL)

then add

$cybtopstats

to where you want that to appear...

in my case I went into the adv_portal template

(styles and templates - styles manager - edit templates - all template groups - adv_portal

I scrolled right to the bottom and added it above $footer

fox3nova 07-14-2007 03:26 AM

OK! It's working now~ thanks majorj0nny.
I awlays forgot this step
Code:

in the vbulletin options - vbulletin options - cyb advanced forum statistics - Stats on Custom Pages (OPTIONAL)

then add

$cybtopstats

No problem mate - I was scratching my head for ages till i realized I was using adv_portal in that location stead of adv_index...

PS - thanks to the creator of this excellent mod! :D

Thanks

julia44 07-15-2007 02:50 AM

Just what I wanted, thanks!

McCarroll21 07-16-2007 07:12 AM

I apologize if this has been answered in the thread, but in what template do you use to edit the class="thead" rows and the header rows?

By header rows, I'm talking about the User and Joined in New Users, etc. The top row in each column under the class="thead" row.

Edit: Never mind. It was right in front of my face.

TheHeartSmasher 07-16-2007 06:56 PM

I would like to add more threads to the far left and right Stats Management 1st Row.
As the only options available are disabled and latest posts.
I would like to have the option of adding all of the others and possible a few custom threads if possible.

aakhan136 07-16-2007 10:34 PM

Thanks

This mod has dosn't work with some PHP5 users who have enabled mysqli instead than mysql engine, I uploaded An edited version that should work with mysqli engine.

popowich 07-17-2007 02:23 PM

Is there a way to reverse the permissions, so I can simply say if your primary or secondary group is 5, 6, or 7 you can see the top 5 stats?

The exclude groups doesn't work right, and you have to remember to exclude new groups.

I just want it so admins and mods can see them, and forget about it.

Is this possible? Thanks!

hi,

I'm pretty new to vBulletin, just about 2 weeks. I saw your tool in the german vb-hacks board and i wanted it.

It's really great, works fine and is easy to install.

thx

Fenriz 07-19-2007 11:51 PM

Menasim, thank you for the file!

T_Richardson 07-20-2007 08:57 PM

Very nice! My members love this, very detailed and well put together. :up::up: Especially like the ease of including it on non vb pages.

T_Richardson 07-21-2007 12:46 PM

I haven't searched all the posts in this mod (too much reading) for this minor problem i have, so I'll ask.

I have the stats on a page other than the forums and when there's a new post, it shows the New post icon. Now when I go and read that post and go back to the stats, it still shows the New Post icon. I have to click "mark forums Read" to refresh it.

TXStar 07-23-2007 02:54 AM

I need to place $cybts_enablelink somewhere for the enable stats option to appear in the quicklinks drop down. Which template is the quicklinks one?

Hey

I've been trying to get this to appear as a CMPS module.. and I've followed the steps of adding the variable to the adv_portal template above $footer, I've also added the adv_index to the optional box in the settings.

However, nothing is showing on my CMPS portal page... also... how do I make it into a MODULE so I can rearrange it? I've made a template module with $cybtopstats in it... but no luck :(

jim6763nva 07-25-2007 11:01 PM

I have my install working on my site, but I've noticed a problem with incorrect urls when displaying stats on my vba 3.0 home page. I had to manual add the full url forum path to each php file in the templates, but there is one place where I can't seem to change it. The dropdown arrow which gives the option to display "View more results" and "Turn of top stats". How can I make these Urls point to my forums folder?

Thanks,
Jim

Does any way let this mod display in forumdisplay page ?

voter 07-26-2007 09:19 AM

I have my vbadvanced in main page viparmenia.com/cmps_index.php and forum in subdirectory vb viparmenia.com/vb/index.php.

After swiching on cyb stat on vbadvanced page I need to explain avdanced to add prefix vb to everything what cyb statistics shows even images.

It looks terrible:
-images are not found,
-clicks on topics or usernames in statistic box redirecting to 404 FILE NOT FOUND as of everything shown without forum URL prefix

HELP! How to explain vbadvanced to put forum prefix everywhere?

Hi I'm a total newbie but I recognisethis is and excellent but of code, it looks great. Thanks. I have it at the top of the forums, my question is, how can it have it appear BELOW the welcome that a none registered person would see. Presently they see the top 10 with the welcome underneath, which is wrong.

My Forumhome code is below, thanks in anticipation,

$stylevar[htmldoctype]
<html dir="$stylevar[textdirection]" lang="$stylevar[languagecode]">
<head>
<!-- no cache headers -->
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />
<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1" />
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache" />
<!-- end no cache headers -->
$headinclude
<title><phrase 1="$vboptions[bbtitle]">$vbphrase[x_powered_by_vbulletin]</phrase></title>
</head>
<body>
$header
$navbar
<!-- main -->
<table class="tborder" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="0" width="100%" align="center">
<if condition="$show['guest']">
<!-- guest welcome message -->
<tr>
<td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">6<else />5</if>"><phrase 1="$vboptions[bbtitle]">$vbphrase[welcome_to_the_x]</phrase></td>

Any plan to update this mod with Ajax ?

LinkBliss_com 07-31-2007 08:32 PM

I made a little hack to re-enable this to show hottest threads and most viewed threads for this year --

"-Removed options from 4.6 which requires complex queries and makes forums run slow ("show stats for a custom time period" and "show number of members who gaved positive reputation points to user"). Sorry, I know this was useful but it's more important to keep this product fast/stable."

See www.mapforums.com/forum.php

My hack is really simple so I don't think it would slow anything down.

$fromtime = gmmktime(0,0,0,1,1,2007);

and added this to the query

and dateline > $fromtime

best,
Eric

Valter 08-01-2007 12:24 AM

Try to make it working for all stats and you'll see what i am talking about.

inciarco 08-01-2007 02:25 PM

Hello Cybernetec!! ;)

It'd be great that in your Next Version of this Great Hack, you could Add the Option for Refreshing the Information in the Statistics without having to Refresh the Entire Page and without having to Access the More Statistics Window!! :up:

I think that is AJAX, and I've seen it in other Hacks (Like in MGC Chatbox (with AJAX)) where a Refresh Button is offered in order for the User to Choose to Refresh Only the Table that Contains the Information needed to be Updated!! :up:

I hope you can Implement that Enhancement in this Great Hack Soon!! :p

Edit: I almos forgot Cybernetec; it'd also be Great to be able to Set an Auto-Refresh of the Statistics in the Forum Home, and to be able to Set the Time in Seconds to that Auto-Refresh; it should also be Working with the AJAX Improvements previously explained!! :up:

My Best Regards To You!! ;)

:)

jimjam 08-02-2007 09:35 AM

Hi, Members and me, who turned off the stats cannot turn them back on, there is no link in the quick links menu to do so. Please help I'm missing my stats, and have to log in as a guest to see them:confused:

Thanks in anticipation

exes_slayer 08-03-2007 10:34 AM

/me marks installed

Thanks, but there is a problem, at latest posts date won't show up

Later - the dates are displayed with english language but not with an other language(romanian) can someone tell me which variables to modify?

rotor 08-03-2007 07:49 PM

Hi,

Firstly love the mod.

Secondly, have only just moved over to vb and am a little confused at to where to put the "$cybts_enablelink" - or more to the point what template to place it in.

I've got ca_evo on as my default style and I cannot for the love of me get it to work in the navbar template. It works in the Default VB style but the navbar template in that style is way different to the ca_evo one. Not sure why - explanation please ;)

Help would be appreciated.

Geoff

PS - Never mind ..... found the tabbar code in the header template ....

LjubavnaZona 08-05-2007 04:19 AM

I love it :)
