No need to. Just look over the template edits and make sure they are 100% the same as you have in your templates.
No way to do it. I tried but threads were not being marked read unless they had a poll in it.

I just did it but nothing happened. I also did Maintenance -> Repair / Optimize Tables but still nothing.
Is it something else I can do?

I'm running 6.0 gold because my templates aren't updated. I am getting this error in the memberinfo area.

For every member it says "Thanked %1$s Times in %2$s Posts" rather than the actual thanks info.

I think it is because I installed 6.1, but upon realizing my templates weren't updated I replaced the files and installed 6.0 on top of it. Should I just wipe everything and reinstall freshly or is there something else I should do to fix it?

I dont have the code I tested it with but if I have time I'll see if I can reproduce it.
I dont really know what could be producing this. Try to make sure everything is edited right. Also, if you want to uninstall and re-install, make a backup of the post_thanks table and import it after you re-install. Run the recounters after.

I love this hack. Can I make a suggestion?

You could do a Post Hug hack...I got a lot of members who love to give hugs to support people who are having a bad day...it could have a hug smilie in the button instead of the thanks thumb...

You can change the image and edit the templates and phases as you wish.

Can someone tell me why after installing the new Thank You Hack version, it has gone haywire.

Also another problem is it will show several Thank You icons under one post to click, like 3, 4, 5 or even 11 thank you icons that you can click. There is something seriously wrong. Can anyone help?

Ok ... here u go.

What you need:
1. WinMerge (to compare two different templates (your template and default [you may use other program])
2. two files (*.txt) (default.txt and custom.txt you may wish called other name it's your decision)

Now I go to admincp (./admincp/index.php) and search the templates called (postbit(_legacy), memberinfo)
Now I copy and paste all the template (postbit(_legacy) to my custom.txt
There is small button "show Default" or somthing like that (click it)
Copy and paste default template to my default.txt

Now I run WinMerge and add this two file to winmerge becouse we must compare two different files
You must search this phrase "$template_hook*" from default.txt and add in the same place in custom.txt

If u do that u may copy and paste your custom.txt to your template called postbit(_legacy)

Do it the same with memberinfo template.

When you do this it should work correctly

I have the same problem with this. It works fine on default style, but not custome style. It only appear in memberinfo. It didn't appear in postbit.

Would you please show us how to solve this problem. We don't mind if we have to edit template to make it work. :D . I really love this hack.

Im currently running your version 5.3 to upgrade to the new version what do I need to do?

As the new version says no template edits does that mean I have to delete what I edited in?

Will I loose the old stuff when I reinstall this hack?

upgrade to the new version, you will not loose any of your thanks on your board. then just open up the few templates that were edited last time, and remove the tempalte code that was added. very easy, will only take a few min.

use 6.2 it is working really good. im running 3.6.7 btw

this hack is cool - I'm planning to add a feature on my site like this:

- Post an activity (actually photographer offline gathering events) in a post
- Any users can RSVP or just cancel the participation of the event

Looks like it's very similar to this Thank You hack?

RSVP = Click on the Thank button
Cancel = Remove Your Thank

Anyone interested in porting this hack to a RSVP mod?:D
