SCuN 04-05-2008 06:11 AM

There is the possibility of making to put the validity of groups on the example and they were they displayed on the beginning ??
administrators, super moderators, moderators, all users

Paul M 04-05-2008 10:03 AM

Nope. There is another mod that does that.

wayside616 04-08-2008 03:17 AM

I installed with no problems...ran perfectly for three days and today the site crashed with a database error. Have you had any other such issues?

Paul M 04-08-2008 06:59 AM

This only reads data, it cannot crash anything.

BadgerDog 04-08-2008 08:12 PM

Hi Paul.... :)

Just noticed something strange....

I've been running v4.43 under v3.67pl1 for a long time without any problems. I just noticed today that if I hover over a name, it no longer shows the time last on.

I'm SURE that as late as this past weekend it was working fine, but now doesn't seem to want to display that pop-up. Everything else about the mod seems to continue to work fine. I have not installed or changed any other mods in some time.

Any ideas? Should I perhaps re-install the XML file, or something like that?

Thanks ...

Regards,
Badger

Edit: I just noticed that your other mods "Members who have posted Today (or in the last 24 hours)" and "Who has read a Thread" have also ceased giving me the pop-up times? Must be something common to all of them that's changed?

bluidkiti 04-08-2008 11:58 PM

What if I wanted to put this somewhere else besides the What's Going On box - let's say inaa left side column on my board. How would I do that?

Must be your browser. Nothing has changed and it works fine for me on your site (milsurps).

Ok, found the pattern ...

For whatever reason, if I'm doing a lot of file transfers (uploads and downloads), while concurrently browsing thr web site, the hover function in these mods stops functioning. At first, I thought it was just that I wasn't waiting long enough for the fetch due to the increased net traffic, but even if I sat for several minutes "hovered", nothing would happen.

As soon as the downloading or uploading in the background ceased and I had more bandwidth on my cable connection, the hover functions started working again.

In any event, I think that isolates it and obviously it's not a big deal.... :)

Thank you for your great mods and excellent support.

Regards,
Badger

Never mind - I figured it out myself. :up:

linkknight 04-10-2008 06:48 PM

nice plugin, thanks, but i have seen on many forums that it also shows the amount of guests were online, but thats not the case on my forums :S

Paul M 04-11-2008 01:14 AM

Guest Tracking is a completely seperate mod.

wii 04-23-2008 07:53 AM

I would like to add a little simple legend after this MOD, but I can´t find the template to edit, can anyone help ? I will just use simple HTML for this legend, but I need to know where to insert the code. I would like to have it under the lists of users the past 24 hours.

Thanks

wii 04-23-2008 08:03 AM

Found it:

Display_Visitors Template.

Which mod is this? Any name or link to it?

Will this other mod work with this mod or is this an either/or decision?

Thanks in advance

Megareus Rex 04-25-2008 11:56 PM

I think I've asked this before, but...

Is there any way to edit the display so that it will display PRIMARY usergroup markups, but NOT secondary group markups, even if the secondary group's markup is selected as the display group?

I'd like for the "who has visited" to display default user rank markup (like admin, mod, etc), but we have different groups that people (members, even staff) can choose as their display group. The problem is that either I have to abide by those markups, or go with none (commenting out the open/close tag lines of the one plugin, a fix you provided a while ago).

Paul M 04-26-2008 11:11 AM

In the global_start hook for this mod change this line ;

$group = ($today['displaygroupid'] > 0 ? $today['displaygroupid'] : $today['usergroupid']);

to this ;

$group = $today['usergroupid'];

Awesome, thanks!

Would the same sort of edit work to change the WOL's display from display groups to default usergroup markup?

Livingstrong 04-28-2008 08:50 PM

Clicked Installed!

Beautiful mod, easy, no problems to install it. Very good job.

Paul M 05-03-2008 05:52 PM

Paul M 06-15-2008 12:35 PM

RACHR 06-15-2008 12:45 PM

I see only 3 members that were online Today. But the other Members that is See on "who is online" doesnt display in "Members who have visited Today"

jailer 06-19-2008 09:06 AM

Paul - two of my admins are saying some users are showing as underlined and some not. I can't replicate it however - they're all underlined to me.
Do you have any idea what's happening?

:edit: sorry - hadn't seen there was a new version. I'll try that first.

Paul M 06-19-2008 04:30 PM

Most likely a fault with your usergroup html markup.

It's just default that, Paul.

Only happens with IE though, and when the particular users (that aren't underlined) profile page has been visited.
I still can't replicate it myself, with IE or FF.

Paul M 06-19-2008 07:23 PM

Sounds like your talking about standard browser behaviour, links can be set to be underlined if not visited, and not underlined when visited - (style/css settings).

As usual you're quite correct Paul, and thanks loads for pointing that out. I hadn't considered the 3rd party style I was using may have no underline specified in the CSS settings. Default of course was fine.
All working now anyway - much appreciated.

callumbush 06-25-2008 07:58 AM

Hi Paul,

I've installed the mod but there is a slight appearance error. The duplicate whosonline.gif image is not aligned with the original image.

Can you help?

Callum

Paul M 06-25-2008 12:47 PM

You have added some padding to the cell, you will need to edit the template for this mod to add the same padding.

callumbush 06-25-2008 07:29 PM

Which template do I need to edit? I haven't customised the skin since I downloaded it a dew days ago

cheers

Paul M 06-26-2008 09:34 AM

Display_Visitors

callumbush 06-26-2008 11:51 AM

Really sorry but this is way over my head :)

What do I need to add and where?

Code:

<!-- $data_wvt[title] -->
<tbody>
        <tr>
                <td class="thead" colspan="2">
                        <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumhome_todayusers')"><img id="collapseimg_forumhome_todayusers" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_thead$vbcollapse[collapseimg_forumhome_todayusers].gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
                        $whotitle
                </td>
        </tr>
</tbody>
<tbody id="collapseobj_forumhome_todayusers" style="$vbcollapse[collapseobj_forumhome_todayusers]">
        <tr>
                <td class="alt2"><a href="memberlist.php"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/whos_online.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a></td>
                <td class="alt1" width="100%"><div class="smallfont">$whotoday</div></td>
        </tr>
</tbody>
<!-- PEMDATA37: $data_wvt[title] : Version = $data_wvt[version] : Revision = $data_wvt[cvs] -->

callumbush 06-26-2008 10:33 PM

p.s. I promise i'm trying to fix this too, i'm just quite new to all this ;) ....I hate it when people don't even look at their issue first :)

I tried the below....but no luck - isnt the 'padding' code only meant for CSS files?
Code:

<td class="alt2"><a href="memberlist.php"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/whos_online.gif" alt="" border="0" padding-left: 5em /></a></td>
