Actually, the script tells Paypal where to send the IPN for the transactions made through this system, so you can use it on multiple installs using only one paypal account...Thus the reason for the need to place the full URL to ppverify.php file in the settings, this is so that we can use multiple occurences of the same system on one paypal account...

the install process went of very smoothly and I got to the settings screen and completed that successfully. the save button on that page returned me to the settings screen itself (dont know if thats supposed to happen). When I logged into to my admincp and clicked Donation Administration, I got the above.

any idea guys ?
Somewhere along the lines the installer did not install the tables at all...do me a favor and check your database to see if the following tables are installed:
  1. donation_buttons
  2. donation_currency_exchange
  3. donation_donors
  4. donation_goals
  5. donation_paypalipn

ok all were present except that the table donation_donors was named donation_donators. renamed and the error disappeared. will complete the rest of the settings and post back my level of success with this. for someone with close to 0 php or any coding knowledge whatsoever or DB for that matter... this really is a pretty simple install. thanks for this hack...

Hi guys

fixed the issues and even made the button and link on the navbar and all works well except a couple things.

1) I have the goal indicator on my donations. Goal is set to $500. $5 was recieved as a donation it it shows that we received it and that 1% of the goal has been achieved. But the name of the donor doesnt show in the top donors list.

2) I want to change the goal indicator progress bar colors. Right now at even just 1% complete it shows a full black bar. Is something wrong there or are my colors mixed up? I did not change any colors from what was available as default during setup.

how/where can i change the $$ amounts that define which 'trophy' is shown for 'all donors'?

You cant. They are done by highest, second highest, third highest, and all others. You could always change the images.

Quick Note:

I recently noticed the the optional template edits running on vB 3.03 is kinda quarky. The donor button only works if I edit postbit but not postbit_legacy. But when they do show it shows for all users and not just the donors. The same for meminfo. I do have one question about meminfo button. is it suppose to be a button/badge for users who have donated or an easy access button for users to use to donate while viewing a profile? Again, because it shows for all users. The condition is set 0 but everyone is 1 in my database, even the ones I manually setup as donors

I'm not sure but I think the optional template edits displayed fine for 1.04
