is there a fix for this problem which i could implement to share with all people? Cheers, |
Hi All,
I would like to integrate vBradio into ucash/ushop using "purchase usergroup permissions" which assigns users a secondary usergroup. Is there any way to make access to vBradio usergroup specific? Thanks in advance! |
Just installed this. But it is not working.
I followed the instructions carefully. I double checked. Everything seems to be working fine as in the file changes and template mods. I have even added custom categories and stations. But when I click on the navbar link and the radio pops up, I click on a station and select play and ............ Nothing Happens ??? Any help or suggestions? (I read through this thread here, and couldn't find anybody else with this problem... So more than likely it is something simple) |
1) Do you have javascript enabled?
2) Check your firewall isn't blocking the radio stream 3) Check the stream works for you by manually visiting the link in your browser. Also some streams are not functional, i can't garentee all extensions will work. There is a modification a page or 2 back to allow real player streams, however it's 3rd party and i havn't tested it. - Zero Tolerance |

2. I don't think my firewall is blocking the radio stream. (When I visit the URL manually, it opens up Windows Media Player on my PC and plays fine) 3. I can visit the URL manually with no problems. It's just that when I click on anything on vBRadio pop-up NOTHING happens... I know I have had a similar problem with other hacks in the past because I have a renamed admincp folder. I understand that this hack uses an automatic installation script, but I always think this is worth mentioning... |
So the problem is when you press "Play" nothing happens, hmm.
I just tested it on your site, and the stations play fine, all of them. My guess is you just need to wait a few minutes, if you press the controls on link, you will see what it's doing, and if your on a sluggish modem, you may have to be patient for it to connect. And javascript is enabled in your browser, not the server :) - Zero Tolerance |

Okay, select a radio station, then hit play. After doing that hit the button "On" in the controls option, which is below select a station.
Tell me if anything appears for you. At all, there should be media player controls that pop up at the bottom, and telling you what the media player is currently doing (connecting to the stream, buffering, etc..) - Zero Tolerance |

1. Selected a radio station. 2. Pressed "Play This Station". 3. Pressed "On" ... and nothing happened ... |
Alright then you probably have javascript disabled .. possibly, or something else. But seen as how the pop up works, and vBChat does for you, javascript is enabled, my only other assumption is the multimedia options in IE.
If your using IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options, go to the Tab Advanced, scroll down and find "Multimedia", ensure all box's are ticked. :) - Zero Tolerance |
