change this background color for the red one:

you can search for it in your templates and you will find it under sc_thumbs_box template

the same thing for the other green box.

It's actually fairly simple. Just find and remove every instance of:

target="_blank"

from sc_thumbs_latest_bit and sc_thumbs_top_bit templates.

check where you uploaded the button images. also for the stats, you need to be sure about your settings from the ACP from the thumps up options.
