I have a problem - avatars do not cover original images:

If you did an upgrade of vBulletin, you need to rebuild the CSS files.

It looks like everything is there, including the required CSS template, but the CSS template isn't being included.
I would run the "Compile Thread Avatar Templates" option again... that's the part that will insert it into your templates. |
I ran this option but it still does not work.

Do you have any other plug-ins at the template_compile location? Maybe something is interfering somehow...

The only plugin that does something with that location is "Alter Compiled Templates" (which is a part of your mod).

But in the What's new? section avatars are displayed just fine.
