Hello,
A short update (ver.5.0.4) to correct: 1.- Missing RSS parametters in pages other than homepage. 2.- Adding log MySQL errors in the file microclassifieds/datagrid/logs/dataerror.log which you must CMOD 666 To upgrade: 1.- Upload classifieds.php to main directory 2.- Upload microclassifieds/datagrid/logs/dataerror.log to microclassifieds/datagrid/logs/dataerror.log (and CMOD it 666) 3.- Import product-microclassifieds.xml Chris |
Some things I'd like to comment on.
Is there a way for users to pay before posting premium ads? If so the random newest owner box should have the option to be disabled since this is in effect what the people would be paying for. In the profile, the controls for your classified settings are hidden in with the other options. I think they should have their own box under My Messages and above My Subscriptions. I'm trying to think like a user who is used to a craigslist type website and would expect easier navigation. As mentioned already the post new ad links should be big and apparent and the RSS box should be defaulted to off. Other than that I think this hack is amazing. |
Oh and I forgot..my thumbnails didn't appear when I uploaded them.
The location option puzzles me as well. It's a mandatory dropdown and I need to give all the options. Would it not be easier for the user to just input this themselves? I'd have to put in every city and town on earth now. Currency is limited to USD? When posting an ad I think the add photos options should be more prominent and next to the ad description text box rather than down at the bottom with the shipping options. |
Are there any instructions to setting this up and posting your first item?
|
Thanks but it still redirects you to the main forum page when you close the RSS feed box now it is worse as the rss feeds thing shows up on each page instead of just the 1st one ??

@DannyITR
@voglemc -------------- That's why I wanted some more days to release it, but as you can see most members bomb me to do it right now. I'm writting some instructions, hope that tomorrow I'll be able to post some of them here. Till then, I'll appreciate if other members, who are more familiar with this mod, help the others. Actually this is the real meaning of the open source. Everybody does something that he/she can do. Chris |
Chris your doing great thanks for your hard work
