Well ... new version is really awesome .. but one little thing .. is that any way to change the bg color, of that text entering, from whit to black? as my forum has a dark theme .. :| and I am not able to find the way through style_vars :|

Enjoy this version, it'll be the last significant update for a few months ^.^ Iain |
Thanks. ;) Already felt like not in the loop anymore. :D
Its a hell of a great Shoutbox, I really like it. One thing I wonder is why isn't it, without using BB Code, that when I change the font color, all that I wrote in my Shoutbox turns into that color. That doesn't make sense. Usually its like that when I change the color for a shout, it only effects this particular shout, and not all the other comments I made before, at least in my personal view of the Shoutbox. Any chance that could be changed ? Quote:

When I click into the Shoutbox, then I get the color set in "control_focus_background". But I want the field to have a different background color even before I click into it. Any ideas ? It probably wouldn't be such a big problem if the textfield would be, like with almost any shoutbox, just a few pixels high. But here its huge compared to others, then the white background in a dark board becomes a problem with the looks. |
Oh sorry, I'm an idiot.
The correct stylevar is control_background. Fillip |
Thanks but...
http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9828/stylevar.th.jpg http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9828/stylevar.jpg As you can see, in "control_background" a background color & image is already chosen by the theme. But still, the background in that window stays white. http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7...ylevar2.th.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7660/stylevar2.jpg And its not because the background color or image ain't working, for some reason that happens only in your shoutbox. Any ideas ? P.S: Sorry for bothering you with this. ;) |
Okay, I should stop talking without doing research.
It seems it's the input_background stylevar you need to modify. If this doesn't work either, check the following CSS attribute in vbulletin-formcontrols.css: Code:
