will the add-on be compatible with the post thanks and vbadvanced-cmps ?

mxweas,

your sitemap URL is http://idevkit.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz

Kiros72,

try to modify vbseo_sitemap_config.php file, find:
PHP Code:

$vbseo_vars = array(

and add above:
PHP Code:

global $vbseo_vars

kevin12,

if you have vBSEO installed, make sure that you are running the latest version (vBSEO3.2.0)

donwon,

make sure that you uploaded "vbseo_sitemap" folder into your forums folder.

iojam 09-02-2008 11:46 AM

Pete2007,

it's only compatible with stock vBulletin URLs and vBSEOed forums.

jim6763nva,

you should disable "Include old URLs" option.

realmr,

there are no compatibility issues with these mods.

Hi iojam

My vbseo its 2.3 and vbulletin 3.7.3
Vbseo 3.2 not working fine in my server (Cpanel)

BOSS 302 09-03-2008 02:02 AM

I have vbulletin 3.7, vbadvanced, vbseo 3.2, and this now installed. My forums are in a root/forum folder. I need to know exactly how my .htaccess should look in both forum and root because spiders are getting stuck on my homepage and not crawling anything. Right now I don't even have a .htaccess in my root folder. This is all new to me. Also is it normal for this to only generate 1 map for google? I thought it was suppose to make a yahoo map.

Here is what my current .htaccess looks like in my forum root

PHP Code:

# Comment the following line (add '#' at the beginning)
# to disable mod_rewrite functions.
# Please note: you still need to disable the hack in
# the vBSEO control panel to stop url rewrites.
RewriteEngine On

# Some servers require the Rewritebase directive to be
# enabled (remove '#' at the beginning to activate)
# Please note: when enabled, you must include the path
# to your root vB folder (i.e. RewriteBase /forums/)
#RewriteBase /

#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.yourdomain\.com
#RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/forums/$1 [L,R=301]

RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule
^((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$[L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|cron)
RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?)?)$ vbseo.php [L,QSA]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond
%{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond
%{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ vbseo.php [L,QSA

kevin12,

there are no known issues with vBSEO3.2.0 and cPanel, if you get any problem please open a ticket on vbseo.com

BOSS 302,

if you are running vBSEO, then there is no need to modify .htaccess file - it already includes rewrite rule for sitemap generator.
