No I didn't see that post but like I said After I click mark posts as read it was fix as it sould of said this:

Notice it now says No instead of display.

It should not have said that at all, notice the LV date in your previous post ;

That date was more than the X days limit, therefore it defaulted to the simple unread posts link, irrespective of how many you actually had. It worked as expected/designed. :)

No, there is no such facility.

Depends on how big your posts table is, but sounds to me like it hung, just try again.

1,015,857 posts. I tried it twice and it was the same both times. I'll try again. Does the board have to be off for the whole time?

I suggest you add the index manually via phpmyadmin. Mysql is taking so long to add the index that php is timing out.
