I got it to work very quickly. However, as good as it is (to your credit King Kovifor), I disabled it on the basis people thought it used up valuable forum space. I'd have kept it if it appeared just the once on the forum main index, but when it keeps reappearing I found people got sick of it.

p.s. I know its collapsible, but our users thought it still used up space when it was something they only looked at when they first logged in, so didn't see the point in keeping it, even in a collapsed state. Shame, cos' its good.

Thanks for the credit... I just did the template and options. Maybe I could add something to a vB 3.6.x version that will check for their last login time, and if it's "today" or something not show the panel. Or maybe a user option for that check... Not sure.

He is saying if you don't use the default image path(forums/images), the 3 icons must be uploaded to whatever path you used and specified in the WP Rewrite options page.

If you are using forums/images, then upload the 3 icons to there, and enjoy :D The hack option for images directory setting defaults to the forums/image directory.

This worked for me without a hitch.

Click on my Username, look under the 3.6 modifications, there's a v3.0.5 update and I'm working on a 4.0 for 3.8 that should work back to 3.6.
