Its' really hard to knwo whats wrong, most likely an external modification conflict. (We have this plugin working on hundreds of sites.)

Please post a screenshot of your mods.

In the mean time, try disabling some of them an see if thats the trick. Any optimization scripts?

It doesn't scroll horizontally. So if the browser window is small, or your using a phone to view the site then when you scroll horizontally it doesn't move with the rest of the site?

When I install this the icons are in the wrong place (probably because of custom header)

Yes, copy "livenotifications.css" into additional.css in your theme templates.

AARRRGGHHH!!! This is doing my head in!!!!

I uninstalled it to try 6.3, that installed then I uninstalled that a re-installed 7.3 only to get this database error when installing:

Simply remove these 4 lines from the .xml, then try to run the .xml again.

Ok thanks that worked.

So now i'm back to square one.

I followed your first post which says put

in the header as I have a customised theme.

At this point I then had two bars, one right at the top and one almost just below it. Then I went in to the settings and set "Is template automatic edit on?" to No. This removed the lower bar.

So now I'm back to having the bar right at the top which is great, but the icons are still low down. It must be something to do with my header, maybe because I have a wrapper that's causing it?

Okay. Turn auto template back on.

Have automatic edit on. If you get two bars, that just means that code above exists twice in your header somewhere.

Search templates for it, and then remove one of them.

Damn it. It works fine on default style, so there must be something in my style that pushes those two images down. What doesn't make sense is why only those two images when everything else on the bar is in the right place.

Awesome I got it working. I narrowed it down to the vbulletin-chrome.css template. There were lots of top paddings set to 65px instead of the default 3px which I think I change previously for an old modification.

All fixed and working now.

Yes, but the only issue is most threads don't have a "thumb" or attachment image.

I was checking out the site, but all that is returned is ERROR on a blank page after logging into the test username and password... kind of scary scenario. Would hate to install that on my sites and then have THAT happen!

There are a lot of dead links in the OP of this thread, and right now the vbsocial server seems to be down (it says "error"). I assume this is probably related to 8.0, but that is just an assumption.

I recently discovered this mod and was setting it up on my server until I saw the notice about 8.0 coming out, now I am torn between installing the older version or just waiting.

install the 6.3 version its miles better and no problems at all that what i`m still using
