Yes, thank you!!! - the PM issue is fixed.

One question - on one of the older shoutboxes, when you entered the first few letters of a member's username, the whole name would show up, is that a feature on this version that I'm missing?

the installation that come by default it's modifed for low usage ?
i mean what normal server option it need to can run your chatbox in normal way
i mean what RAM & Bandwitch it need ?
does it also have the option to refresh only when new message is posted ? not like normal chat which refresh each x second regardless new message which flood the server.

It requires exactly 14.1 MB RAM and not a single byte more. :rolleyes:

In seriousness though, it's not possible for me to tell you exactly the amount of resources it uses.

The default is set up for resource conservation and it does indeed have that feature.

Hello
the shout works perfectly except for one problem what I noticed.
namely:
I have every 60 sec. the sound as if someone writes something, but it is not a user Akiv there.
every 60 sec. comes "Pop.mp3"
My question: can we stop this somehow.

That's the shout sound. Turning that off is the only way to stop it for now.

Like Mokonzi said, you need to upload the contents of the upload folder, which may be the source of your problem.

I installed the Mod its great and runs fine. But I have a few questions?

Is there a way to make the shoutbox, only refresh when a new message is posted? I wanted people to be able to post videos or sounds, but is not good that it reloads whenever the shoutbox refreshes. If you are reading older posts it bumps your window to the newest whenever it refreshes.

Also I made a custom box under the Navbar. I turned off the "Display after navbar" option. I manually added the template at the instance and the code "{vb:raw vbshout}" at "FORUMHOME" after the custom box code. The shoutbox displays fine, but it appears after the navbar over the custom box. I played around with it and always appears after the navbar. Any idea what might be the problem?

We just purchased and installed the pro version of shoutbox 5. The problem is I cannot modify the instance (or create a new instance) of the shoutbox. When I click the edit instance button, I get a empty white page in my admin control panel.
The lite version worked fine until I upgraded to the pro version.

Id like this to be for vb3.8 and a better design its poor considering you brought i believe:
Inferno vBShout (Lite)
if you did it on that design i think we'd all use it due to the design is tidy and it would be nice to implent the tagging and id buy the pro if it was that design its really is neat.

Tagging can be done in the latest version, Feature: "Insert @<username>" link in the dropdowns

Is there any way I can turn the instance on and off according to preset timings.

Eg. Nobody is normally interested most of the time but it's popular when a grand Prix is on but I'm not always online to switch on and off manually.

Ok. Where in the database is the instance on / off switch so I can write my own SQL in a scheduled task

It is not possible to control it with an SQL statement because of the fact that instances are cached with a method that is not available to MySQL.

I uploaded everything as stated and it installed and looks good. Only problem is that it always says "loading" in chat box. I am sorry if this has been discussed before but I am too busy to search through 72 pages to find the answer. Thanks for the great looking mod! Please help!
