7 - Items purchased should be throwaway

If a member purchases an item, glow, color, etc, the item should be disabled upon refund, or the person should be able to throw it away, disabling its function, if the refund time frame has expired. Basically, things purchased shouldnt be permenant if the purchasing member no longer desires it, and some mechanism should be offered to dispose of it rendering it non-functioning to that member like it wasnt even purchased before.

Shows items not even available due to being disabled in ACP. Should be filtered out, and yes, by member group.

9 - Market home page >> Top Store Market Items

Doesnt update, and likewise, should filter out items not available to the viewing member group anyways. Right now though, doesnt show anything but the subject of the stats group and no particular market item.

(and please keep in mind, these are just suggestions to make this great mod you are creating,.... a superior product. There is nothing personal here less than desiring providing a superior feature to my membership on my forums. Thank You !! )

Hi, i've been searching trying to find an answer.

Everything seems to be working just fine for me, my only real issue is that the html code from the username market items really seems to play havoc across the boards, the html to alter the username is showing up in the places where it doesn't work, like reply to pm or latest posts siderbar block, if this html didn't show i would be very happy with this mod and voting for it for mod of the month.

Once again, great Addon. But I've got a question. I've updated today to the rc3.0.4 and since then every glow or color effects of the usernames is not only visible in the postbit and the profiles, but also in the who's-online-list, the forumhome and so on. Is this as it should be or can i hope to disable this feature and limit the effects to the postbit and profile as it was?

Originally, I planned on releasing Gold today. Some of the username markup bugs you are experiencing from is with compatibility issues with other mods or the fact it wasn't really tested with certain settings or markups that people have used. In addition, there were a few other bugs found in RC 4.

I've decided I am going to do one more RC called RC 5 and release it this Thursday. It will have a fix for everything you guys are reporting. In addition, I'm at a lost as to why gifts aren't showing up on the postbit for a very select few of you. I'll look into that as well. I'm going to implement a lot of the changes Smirkley came up with as I agree there good changes to do.

The username glow/colors is supposed to work like this:
- Works on all pages that use the musername (postbit, pm, who's online, forumdisplay, etc.)
- Is a user has a username markup, it is NOT supposed to overwrite it; however, if the username already has a certain color based off of a usergroup, the color is supposed to overwrite it. Italics, html, <s> tags are all supposed to still show if a user has that as a part of their usergroup.
- No html is supposed to be visibly displaying to users

I will add settings to control the musername to display only on postbit/member profile page like before or on all pages that the musername works so admins can have greater control over it.

Hope that helps you guys as I'm always trying to improve the changes/features/tweaks I do based off of your feedback.

But when one of my users tried to refund an item, it reset his points to 0 and made him unable to get points. This was in the RC1, so is this fixed now?

10 - Forum Items >> Market Features

Buying each premium item listed works as designed, and successfully prevents a member from buying twice something that can be only used once, to open up the individual Premium Addon Features.

If possible, when something cant be bought anymore, it should no longer show up in the Market Features menu of purchasable items.

11 - "Purchases" page

Two things, if I only use one points system (ucash for ex.), and dont use a secondary credits system, the secondary credits column should not show up.

Plus I think the amounts paid should reflect the actual points paid, including after discounts. I know this may require a seperate table or row in the db, as it likely pulls from the item price lists.

Lastly, should the list be pruned automatically so items lets say over 30 days old drop off the list? I think the lists may get kinda big if they are for all purchases in history.

13 - Input username with ajax for certain market items

It would be awsome if the username entry was ajax powered, so you can type a few letters, and then select the user you want to input from the ajax dropdown.

I like that,would be great for users with long or weird names to not have to remember or copy and paste them

14 - Market Item >> Threads >> Color Threads

I am confused of this market item.

First, the buy page says enter thread ID. There is no place to enter the thread ID, just to select the color.

Second, when I buy it, it colors some threads and not some others. It doesnt seem to matter if I started a thread, posted in someone elses, ever viewed a thread, or never posted in it at all. And the color shows up just as randomly when I am not logged in either.

So I just dont know exactly what this item does I guess.

And so I disabled this feature, but the new colors just dont go away now. I am doing the Maintenance for threads, but this feature never seems to stop and hasnt cleared anything up yet.

At first view, I thought that this thread would change the color of thread titles for threads I started or posted in, which would be good I think.

Maybe I just need it explained to me lol.

I think maybe these mods are popular and there are a lot of people use them on vbulletin :D

This mod operates using a points system,.. ie- outlined by one or two of the above mentioned additional mods that you would also install.

To operate a store, people would either earn points via one of the above mentioned modifications via posts and whatnot, but could also buy points with cash via paypal etc.

yes you need some kind of currency mod for the market like the ones mentioned in that list,I use vbexperience and vbcredits as it supports multiple currencies and a currency converter

In the market section of your AdminCP, go to "Market Gifts" and click on the text that says "Default Category". You can customize it from there to say whatever you would like!

Now for my question: What steps do I have to take to upgrade to the latest release candidate?

We use the postbit display on one forum and it would be nice to have the option to add the gift display bit to other areas of the forum - such as the signature area. We use this area to display awards and the gifts would also work in this area. So either a hook to select signature start or signature end or the ability to manually add the code and not use the postbit display.

What if a user doesn't want to get a gift from a person. Is there anyway to block them from receiving gifts from that person?

Also what if a person doesn't want to participate in the entire program. Is there anyway to remove them from receiving points or access to the point market store?

I started seeing this for usernames in chat. (This is only on users that have bought username color ect). This started after applying update 3.0rc4 (even though it said rc3)

I'm having the same issue, but with the VSa Advanced Forum Statistics mod. Any user that posts in one of the last five topics on there gets "N/A" instead of their name. This started happening after I uploaded RC4 (though it shows up as RC3). Also, I'm not really sure how to get Special Forum Access to work. I have the forum number typed into the box in the vBulletin settings and I have the item available on my Market, but I don't see anything in Usergroups or anything like that. I just purchased it myself as a test, and nothing came up that let me pick which forum I wanted access to.

Can anyone help with this? I have been getting this forever and cant get it fixed. I have tried everything.

I upload the RC4 and override the RC3 ... but in the Addon-List of vBulletin, there is still shown RC3. I tried the Converter, but it does not working with paypal to points. Please Help!!!!!

RC 5 is about half complete. I hoped to have it done last week however some of the errors are more isolated to where it only occurying on certain boards with certain configurations such as server, integration with various mods, style settings, etc. and therefore it's taking me a little bit longer. I'm in Maryland for the next few days and will be home Friday. I should have a better idea when I get back on the remaining issues.

A user bought some points but never got them. They had an e-check payment, and the points never showed up even after the payment cleared?

So I created my own paypal account and made a purchase as well, and yep- no points added to my existing points.

Any suggestions? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

I know your working hard on this already and have already started the task, but I was thinking that the buy password item would be better if the options for forum id were actually in the item details instead of the main settings menu. This way it would be possible to duplicate and users could buy passwords for particular forums instead of just one set forum.
