Do you all know if this still works ?

yep, its working on my forum using 4.0.5... I dont use the vb fb connect...

I've been using facebook connect but want to get off it. Can I import my users from there? I've been told that if I disable that plugin that those users would not be able to log in anymore...

There is another mod here called Facebook Connect, which says it allows visitors to login to the forum using their Facebook login info without having to register with the forum.

Does anyone here know if this other mod is compatible with YAFB? Or, if Mr. Paint plans on adding this feature to a future release?

And while I'm here posting, I'd like to thank Mr. Paint for continuing to provide a mod that works both on vb 3.7 as well as vb4. This is more work for him, and I appreciate his willingness to continue to provide upgrades for those of us not ready for vb4.

FYI, this mod is not needed. FB intergration was added from v4.0.4 onward. You just don't have all the features with it as you do with this.

With the patch you issued, it kills Downloads II and Tabs plugin's. Good concept, but still need some polish.

Seems like you've provided two reasons that people would need this.

1. Anyone not using vb4
2. Anyone wanting the additional features that this mod has that v4 doesnt.

My vB posts as admin are posted to my FB developer profile wall and not the specific wall of the managed page for the forum. Am I missing something?

Hey I could really use some help with my questions about the facebook connect plugin and YAFB.

I want to switch from facbeook connect to YAFB. are they compatible. I have users with strictly facebook connect accounts.

YAFB uses Connect as the architecture to communicate with Facebook.

It has not yet been updated to OpenGraph.

I just installed this but have a problem with displaying the Connect image and the Share image in posts.

That's all very well but how do we know what hook to re-insert into an edited template?

Not working for me. vb4.0.5 here. Nothing shows up. I disabled the default fb bridge that comes with vb4 and enabled this product and we get nothing anywhere. Any ideas?

Are you logged in to your site? Log out and you will see the facebook connect button.

you can find the facebook bridge options under settings--->facebook bridge in your usercp

Most of this seems to work fine, except there is no tab on my facebook profile even with that option selected, and I do not know if this is a part of your mod or vbulletin mod, but at the bottom of my forum manager I have a place to enter facebook page # and owner #, I did both of these and it is not working.

Facebook have depreciated tabs so this no longer works

Quite frankly if it was my mod I wouldn't respond to you either as you are being lazy and ultimatly wanting mrPaint to waste his time responding to a question thats already been answered

does this mod actually create a new user account on your forum or does anyone know of a facebook app that does this?

I'm not sure why but no one (including admins) could login to the website after I installed this mod. I'm running VB 4.0.5 and yes I have uploaded the correct files into the correct folders. Everything was setup according to the instructions. I had to disable the hooks, uninstall this mod and run the tools.php to fix my website. I believe that somehow it has changed the cookie path but I'm not really sure.

Thank God I fix it!

Hi, thanks for this great MOD. It is working for me except for a very small glitch:

In the "you have logged in" message, there is a period ( dot ) in front of each sentence. How do I correct it? Please take a look of the screenshot :)

I did a search here but couldn't find anything. Am I the only one having this problem?

What settings do i need to change for the facebook user to add there 'real' email to the forum profile and instant login to the forum.

Anyone having a problem where it is requiring users to input their email address even though it is labeled as an optional field?

Also, when someone clicks the connect with facebook button/link, the facebook login will pop, I will type in my facebook information, but nothing happens after the popup closes. Is there something I am missing?

What happens when someone initially registers with Facebook Connect and doesn't fill in an email address, and then disconnects their Facebook account from their forum profile? They will still have the Facebook Connect email address which won't work anymore after they disconnect. Or am I seeing this wrong?
