I have changed the 2 js files as suggested, and I've refreshed my browser using Ctrl F5 and also by clearing my cache.

Its still not working!!!

Any suggestions???


Unfortunately, on top of doing the upgrade to 3.7.04 today I also moved to a new ISP today!!! Not a good day to have this happen

Hi

This is a really cool mod but can anyone tell me the code i would need to add to a template to get the chatbox to appear where i want it.

I dont want it to appear in any of the already defined places.

Can anyone help me with this please

AdminCP - MGB Chatbox Evo - Display and Positioning.

Turn "Display the chatbox on defined pages in a variable" to "Yes"
Add the page names you want to use in the field "List of the other forum pages"

Add the variable $mgc_cb_evo_var into the templates on the pages/locations you want.


I believe that is correct, Though I haven't tried it myself yet.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to see where the variable is used and move it around inside the standard templates.

here are the steps I took:

MGC Chatbox Evo - > Manage Channels

"Add a channel"

Title: testtitle
Description: testdescription
Name of channel image: testimage
Order: 1
Warn user upon new message in channel: no
Activate the channel: yes

...or create a new command: testcommand
Usergroupds allowed to use this command: administrators

I then clicked "save"

Questions:
1) Is there a way to rename the "general channel"?
2) If no, then is there a way to turn of the general channel?
3) How do I create a /me command?
4) When creating a channel, the people that can view that channel are the user groups you gave access to that particular command?
5) In "General options" there is an option called "Number of days before automatic chats removal" and it says "Number of days after which the chats are automatically removed if the automatic chatbox digest is activated"
* I have searched in all of the MGC Chatbox Evo options and can't find the way to activate or deactive the "automatic chatbox digest".

Right click on the broken image, click Properties and note the name and location of the image. Then make a button, name it the same as that one and upload it to the same location. You'll need to do that for all your custom channels.

Also, the installation for commands is, indeed, in the installation instructions. You have to upload and install each one separately.

I presumed that "digest" was referring to the archive. But I haven't had mine installed for more then the number of days I set it to expire to test that yet.

Because those are the only two you can choose for that option, or you can create one of your own. Near as I can tell, a commend is required to create an additional channel. Commands don't always involve adding something to the chatbox. Sometimes their used in the maintenance of it as well.

Some of us did read a few posts back, implemented the "fix", and it didn't work ;)

Hi - I tried that - I uploaded the fixed version, made the change in the js file that you said and it still isn't working:(:(:(

I also tried the previous quick fix suggested by someone else in the thread and that didn't work either!

Any suggestions?

Mine has never come up saying its a security token issue - it just won't do anything since the upgrade. It just comes up saying a chat is being processed, but it never processes!

Can you have a look for me?

i updated to ver 4.0 and now i can not get channels (images) on chatbox!

have only one channel-- team, but comes not up!

Macc, make sure you upload the /images/misc and drop the mgc_cb_evo FOLDER in the MISC folder of ALL STYLES!

We performed an update to ver. 0.4.0 (vb 3.7.0 RC4)
but the same situation:

Ranger187 i make that ..before upgrade my channels works fine,and i had pictures , but after update to 040 ver ... no more channels but in my admin cp ...everything is ok!

Are you sure everything is set in the admin settings? usergroup settings and did you REVERT your templates? ;)

updated again and log on my forum ..and chatbox works not... no channels and can write message but comes nothing on chatbox....

Default template shows MGC... Did you read the file? You have to remove all commands and reinstall

very strange situation...
after upgrading (0.4.0 & vb3.7.0RC4)
- under any user account (admin or regular user) -> chat is in Loading... state
- under guest account -> chat works fine

I complitely cleaned up old version before and install new one.
Archive and Admincp work fine.
