Installed and working a treat ,but having problems with Station Ids ,are they listed anywere ?

To get a station ID you need to mouse over the station link and see the ID in the browser status bar on the bottom.

700 installs in 6 months, that's pretty good :)

I wonder if members of forums that use this listen to radio using this.

Ok thanks, I know you have disscontinued this mod for VB 3.6? but I cant move to 3.7 as yet because all my skins and stuff are not compatable , what I want to ask ,please dont get cranky with me haha ,but is there anyway to make the player become its own entity once a user has selected the station they would like to listen to ,so they dont have to keep a whole webpage open?

Allso how can I get a header and footer into this for vb 3.6?

To open a player window the user can click on the stream URL that is on the station info on the left.

In the third post of this thread there are radio and TV station directories, and a link to instructions on how to add header and footer to the add-on page.

they get error on page

i assume it has to do with javascript.php

there are 2 files in the download
javascript.php and memberinfo_complete plug in code

im guessing here but do they go into /root

or a specific folder?

I just installed Radio and TV Add-on Version: 1.7 on my new forum and I am logged in as Super Admin and after adding all the menu of Radio and TV and script to the navbar according to your guidelines for templates changes I am getting the following message as Admin.

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.


I also checked the VB options and I leave the Banned Users field blank still facing this and that appears in the pop-up window.

Can any one please help me to figure out what is wrong here ??

Ok, I figured it out now I am able to view it in a pop up window, is it possible to open the page without having pop up window and open in the next window instead pop up window.

Well... I haven't really had any luck with it. I don't know if I'm missing it or if they're just getting more advanced to stop people form doing that, but does anyone think they could just look at a couple to see if I am indeed just missing something?

I sorted mine

Simply download the latest zip version 1.7

what i did was
Uninstall it totally from Admin CP
Plugin manager uninstall

then delete all Radio TV files from ftp
and re upload using the latest version
Then imported plugin
and imported the xml file

make sure when you import the file it is the same one as your version of VB
also make sure the file javascript.php and the members plug in are uploaded to your server

I got it fixed Andrew now the new challenge is my Radio TV link open in a pop-up window is it possible to open the link without the pop up window, I will appreciate if any help can be extended.

There is no radiostations.php in the zip file only radioandtv.php is available, is it type error or I cannot find radiostations.php in the zip file.

I am getting a hell of a lot of errors trying to pass XHTML 1.0 validation http://validator.w3.org, 209 errors to be exact, the Downloads II mod I use passed, and I am trying to get all my pages passed, so I can display there validation script on all my pages.

Could you look into passing validation in future releases, the mod works great, but not passing is annoying me.
I think the code needs to be cleaned up a little.

I am having a heck of a time finding streaming urls for sports stations. They all open in their own browsers and do not provide me with a good url to add a station in this mod.

Any advice?

In the third post of this thread there are station directories and instructions on how to get streaming URLs from sites, it's pretty much all I can do for you.

I don't plan on making this XHTML compliant sorry, it's not that important for me.

It's the same thing, just add the code in the instructions after that.

THat list does not give me a good streaming url for CJAD out of Montreal. I will keep looking. Thanks.

A more pressing matter is that the radio works fine in Firefox but will not open when clicked in IE. I use FF and did not notice this until it was brought to my attention. Why would it work with one browser and not the other?

You must have installed version 1.9 for vb 3.7

Remove all the mod files, uninstall it, then reinstall version 1.7 that is supplied in this thread

I know it may not be important to you , but it is to a lot of us, because it helps SEO immensly, you mod could be come a lot more popular, you just gotta look at the Downloads 2 mod, that is huge.

This mod has the potential to be come larger than what it is, I reckon as SEO becomes stricter things like this are going to count.], and a lot more user will jump onboard this mod.

Any.way I can understand your point of view, I just wanted to express mine, because this is the only page on my site I cant pass validation.
