I only tested it with expertvillage's videos and I have one problem: after I add the the link to a new thread and after submitting it, the video doesn't work, and it works only if I refresh the page, but if I post the link from quick reply, it works fine... so how can I get over this issue? is there any way to turn around it? thanks :) |

Is there a way to post a youtube link simply as a link and not an embed for those videos where embedding has been disabled? Ive tried to write the link in different ways but (impressively) the mod insists on always recognizes it as a youtube link and embeds the blank vid.

I've been having problems with a couple user posted youtube videos. I'm getting the video is no longer available message, and sometimes just a blank video box. I've found out why however. The video's that they have linked to have actually been moved from www.youtube.com/watchblahlah to something like this, http://ca.youtube.com/watchblahblah. Will this have any effect on PassiveVID Coders Shack? I'm just wondering. BTW LOVE the mod! It's the best ever!!!

Coders Shack, What I'd like to see is the ability to restrict certain video sites to certain usergroups. I would like to activate then entire list of supported sites, but only allow registered users to use a few of them and admins to have access to them all.
Can this be done? |
i'm still trying to draw out a plan to do this.
two big features i wana add is the ability to do that with forums and usergroups. problem is for usergroups i have resorted to a clientside method so somehow im going to have to store the posters usergroup id in the html or something. Ill figure it out lol. |

the new version will require a license but i will re-release this version but will remove all the sites that currently don't work (as the free version will no-longer be supported, the license will be extremely cheap)

Coder Shack would you mind adding a tag next to the porn sites. Maybe something like 18+, xxx, or something similar so those of us that don't know, and want to, can disable those particular ones from working. Some are quite easy to tell, but others are not quite so easy. That would be great if you could.

new version is extremely close to release, this should be the week (depending how busy i am @ work).
its better than i thought it was going to be. (also there is nothing like it out there, the way it works is way different than the current way passivevid works) |

I wouldn't have any problem paying five bucks for the new release. But ten bucks would be too much by half when you consider that a topnotch add-on such as Flashchat costs only five and you get updates for life.
