Huh ?

My guess was that he meant to force all users' text colors within the chat to revert to white or whatever. Which has nothing whatsoever to do with this mod.

also is there a way to show how many users are chatting beside the chatroom link in the navbar?

sorry to be an annoyance but I also wonder how I can make the inline window smaller in height?

Adjust the height setting in the mods settings (in vboptions).

thanks and as far as the number of users next to the top nav link? is that possible? Or is it possible to at least put it in my vbadvanced main page? I found something for 3.7 I believe made by you but I don't have the link anymore would that work? Can you possibly link me?

Nope, I dont have any mods to display the users other than on the forumhome.

Hi Paul,
I was hoping you could help me out. I have tried to install this mod a few times now. Everytime I install it, it worked great. I am able to log straight into the FlashChat from my VB board. But after a few min or so, I then am not able to log into FlashChat at all using my VB account that just worked a few min earlier. I am also not able to log into the Admin console with that account either. I went and checked that my usergroup has the correct rights in the Usergroup panel in the VB Admin Console and it does. Any idea's on what could be going on?

hi paul, ive used your plugins a few times with very few issues, however never on a vbadvanced system.

the instalation i just did, seemed to go all ok, and ive added vb intergration and the cp intergration, whos chatting plus the vba addon and module, my problem is that in the admin cp if i click in rooms it says , in red, that flashchat is not installed, i know it is...

also when you use the link in the vba module flashchat loads into the window does the loding thing then just stops on the blue skin screen, and wont go any further.

i can give you access but it will need to be via pm as the domain is locked down as we are still developing.

I have installed this module and I am having the 'Incorrect user name or password. Please try again." error.

I've used the search function and browsed through most of the pages, others fixes do not seem to work.

Here is my install steps:

1) Install FlashChat, use CMS option for vBulletin 3.6
2) Finish install
3) Change redirect option in config.php
4) Change ban message in en.php
5) Upload new CMS file (included in your package)
6) Upload XML file to include/xml folder
7) Install Product XML

Click 'Quick Links' and 'FlashChat' and I receive that error.

Then, if I type in the same username and password as I'm already logged into vBulletin with, it works just fine.

The user group is setup properly, (being an administrator with administration access).

I've tried both UTF true and false.

What am I missing? :erm:

I was showing some members the chat room and they set there theme, text color and skin before I had a chance to disable these options. Now that I have disabled these options there text color, theme, and skin don't match what I set to be default. Is there a way to reset there setting so they see the default theme, text color and skin?

is there away were the ligged in users whopm go from the forum to the chat are automatically logged in to chat instead of they having to logg in again..
also is there away to change the color in the who is in the chat back ground rigth now it is white for me..

our flashchat has been working with the integration for almost a year now without no problems, all of the sudden when you try to into it, it shows that is loading however nothing shows up after that is basically the blank chat background. Any ideas, we have not made any changes to the site including hacks.

Sorry but I cannot possibly guess at what has happened, things dont just stop working, something changes to break them.

Direct room login: I just had a strange anomaly reported to me...

When using a direct link /forum/misc.php?do=flashchat&room=4 those entering room 4 are also seen in room one. This may be because the person entering from that link did not have a privilege level to change rooms. In other words, if they went direct to the chat they would be in room one only.

Just one of those strange ones to report and it is repeatable. Might be just my setup. I have four rooms, but only subscribers can switch to the other rooms. The direct link to a room will accept any registered user.

Not a high priority problem - I removed the direct links.

When Flashchat refers to a CMS it means the software its being integrated with (like vbulletin).

I don't see where to do this. I managed products and plugin's under the Admincp and installed that way.

Those are the instructions for installing Flashchat, not this mod.

I've done everything as specified. when I try to enter flashchat from the quick links i get this error

"vBulletin 3.6.x : Integration Error 02 : Unable to load the vbulletin config file."

My CMS system is 'vbulletin36CMS', any solution ?

i found the problem. it was my mistake as the config file of my vbulletin has different name, and I forgot to change it again when i uploaded vbulletin36CMS.php.

UGH - I KNEW it was something dumb. I was trying to import the file that was in the xml directory - not the one in the root of the unzipped folder. never mind.....

Ive asked on Tufat forums first about this error, but they have asked me to ask you.

Basically Live Support Mode doesnt work, instead all I get is the standard mode. Ive ticked the correct box upon installation, ive ensured config.php has "true" set for live support mode, but all to no avail.

Is there anything you can suggest as ive installed this mod and wondering if there is anything contained which could be affecting live support mode?

Yes as mentioned above, ive enabled it and read all instructions by the book. Ive set the config.php files "Livesupportmode" line to true, and even re-installed flashchat with the latest version ensuring it is installed in support mode.

Its working fine for me. You have also edited the members usergroup permission for flashchat and set them to "Customer (Support Mode Only)" ?

Hmm, its not working for me and my users. Ive tested it not logged in, tested as a forum member and also as admin. I really dont know what could be wrong :s

However, one last thing......

For some reason, unregistered users cant access the FC. I have set their permission to "Customer" in Usergroup Manager, but upon entering a username, it requires a password too, which of course they wouldnt have being a "guest", thus no permission for FC is produced. Any ideas how to overcome this?

Sorry but without full access to your site I could not even guess.

You cannot do it, the basic point of integration is that guests will never get access.

I am having a problem. Everything works fine but when I go to link misc.php?do=flashchat I get this error flashchat.php&room=1 does not exist.

In short, you are just removing & and replacing it for a ?

There should be no reason to edit any plugins, and I'm stuggling to see how you could generate a url that ends simply in ../flashchat.php&room=1 unless maybe you have some sort of custom template edits.
