I still think that there's sth wrong with the permission cache.

follow these steps:

1.upload and overwrite the 'bitfield_anymedia.xml' file.
2.rebuild the permission cache.
3.make sure you have the permission to use AnyMedia bbcode
4.make sure you do not custom the tag name
5.make sure you turn on the AnyMedia system

and then try again

I installed it anyway to try.... but didn't do anything. All I have now is a player installed on my computer that I can't read (menus in english, but all the content is still in Chinese :()

so will all forums membres who want to view have to install pplive?

2. how do you find a channel code? its all in chinese. can't I just repost the one you posted and will it work?

3. never got past step 1& 2 to test. :(

Oops.
Maybe it's not very good for you.
the channel is in Chinese.

can't do that for all of em (too many)...but there it is.

-------

I asked a while back about incorporating teh LDM (Links and Download Manager) jukebox into this for nice cross-hack integration. you said you'd see about it.

any chance you had time to look at that?

anyway... still AWESOME hack and looks to be a shooo win for the HACK OF THE MONTH. heck this is should be standard feature for vb. ;) :D

I'm planning to write a integration between Anymedia & LDM.
it's not difficult,
but I have to find more spare time,
maybe this weekend i'll release a beta version.

However, on a test install using vBulletin 3.6 beta 1 doesn't work, you cannot save settings in AdminCP.

I tried again but under vBulletin 3.5.4 on another test installation, and voila it worked first time. This is one mod I would like to see in vBulletin 3.6 - when the full version is released.

Nice work! Now I'll click install.. :)

Yes, I'll make it work with 3.6 when it's more stable

here, you can check:
http://www.flunkme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122

google code used: http://video.google.com/googleplayer...74790688770181

you have to enable google videos in your admincp.

I've tried entering options and various ways of entering the location but get "unsupported media type".

This is a link to an example: http://www.warcraftcinema.com/001200...r1Quests.movie

This is the flv info in the View Source on that page: http://www.warcraftcinema.com/flvpla...20062001000269

If I enter the link above the move starts in the browser.

Sorry for a noob question if there is something obvious I'm overlooking.

warcraftcinema is not in the supported-site list.
so you have to post it like this:

Code:

[media="0,0,0,0,swf"]http://www.warcraftcinema.com/flvplayer_mirror.swf?flvid=00120062001000269[/media]

friendly 06-14-2006 06:44 PM

Are you using vBulletin 3.6 beta 1 or above? This mod isn't compatible with it yet. I tried several installs before it finally worked with vBulletin 3.5.4. So far it's working fine on 2 sites I installed it on. The admincp in vB 3.6 has all boxes un-checked on installation, on vBulletin 3.5.4 all boxes are already checked correctly, unless you wish to change them and other settings.

If you have other mods, check they aren't conflicting.

Eventhough I've done thorough testing of this hack; Google I cannot get to work. However, most videos on Google are on YouTube.com if you do a search.

Just checked your website (bit slow on loading). I noticed you've placed a quite a few posts on the same thread using AnyMedia. Really you should cut this down to around only one per thread, because it will slow down page rendering and excessive sql quiries.

Do you have AnyMedia checked in admincp-> vbulletin options-> AnyMedia BBCode Options -> .wmv checked?

If it's unchecked you will not see .wmv files playing. Note if you're using Firefox you will require a plugin.

nymyth 06-15-2006 05:20 PM

after working with tormento to debug his media player, we finally got it to work. However noticed something strange with wmv files playing inf firefox, but not playing IE....anyone else having this issue???

Peace

And how do you manage to do that, on a forum with more than one person?

tormento 06-16-2006 05:47 AM

after the work with the great nymyth the plug work

thanks to all:up:

sandrodz 06-16-2006 08:04 AM

I'm still having a problem, under IE when page with media player loads I get error messege and sometimes reply box doesn't load, in firefox everything works fine.

Please check: http://www.flunkme.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3564 note in IE footer doesn't load at all! and unexpected object error is displayed.

if it shows that 'Unsupported'
that means :
1. sth wrong with the permission cache
2. you disable it in the admincp
3. you typed the wrong url to the video

That's the code I did.

Does google ban your ip?
if does,
enable the proxy.

and your server have to enable the 'allow_url_fopen' option, or enable the 'fsockopen/curl_init' functions

I think you should rebuild the permission cache first.

visit 'http://url_to_your_forum/admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields'

you disable the permission of guest to use AnyMedia?

Q: The supported extensions checkbox are always unchecked even if I check them all.
A: The permission cache is not updated. Overwrite the 'includes/xml/bitfield_anymedia.xml' file, and log into your admincp to visit 'admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields' to rebuild the permission cache.

nymyth 06-16-2006 12:39 PM

^^thanks crist...fixed it....

how many times do i have to post a error before i get an answer? i have posted the same error 3 times, and have not once got a response back. is this favoritism on your part crist? i think so. seems you only help the same person over and over, but what about the other users of your mod? i finally gave up on it and uninstalled it., too many bugs and isnt all that you said it was
