No problem, I'll set one downloading and give it a go tomorrow.

It maybe worth checking your php error log if it's turned on, that's how I found the fault in the gars_admin_phrases.php when I was doing the upgrade.

Hmm, I just registered an account but no luck on that link from vbgeek. I'm not a customer of GARS but could you tell us what that link is about? Judging by the demo eightforums, it looks like gars working on vb4. Thanks.

Please continue the GARS support conversation in a dedicated thread or in the GARS social group.

I have given up on my products from vbgeek. Morgan's last post on that site was close to one year ago, and then there's another two posts since June 2010 (!). As sad as it is, and as great the geeks product's were, they are plain dead. Still recommeding it seems not a good idea.

If this is useful to anyone.. Gars forumdisplay gives a blank white page on PHP 5.3.6 and some other PHP versions as well. Turning off "GARS - Prep Forumdisplay" plugin from the plugin manager will display the normal vb forumdisplay so at least the articles can be seen.

Thanks for this great topic, i will be keeping an eye on this.

What is the progress on the different addons? Does anyone know what is going on with ChrisTERiS mod? Is it still in development?

I also stumbled upon iReviews from vbcover. I saw it was mentioned here once or twice?
Why is no one considering that mod? Am i missing something?

I have posted an update, but the GARS discussion has snowed it under.

Regarding GARS:
GARS is dead.
Even if someone would fix GARS, then its still unsupported undeveloped software from 2007.

We have not heard from Chris for a while. I hope this does not mean that his project has fallen through.

iReviews is nice software. But its encoded. So you are not able to modify it or resolve issues in case such arise. While I find it perfectly understandable that developers do not want their work nulled, I simply don't want to use encoded software. iReviews does not offer all of the features requested in this thread.

I haven't adopt the project but I was busy with a custom Gallery mod and a custom Mobile version of my Classifieds. Since Monday I'm working to reviews mod again, but I did some database changes to minimize the amount of queries. Now the homepage has around 5 queries, the listings 1 (!!) and the review page 9. Please note that I don't count the native vB queries.

Thanks for your answers. I think I will not go for Ireview as I am used to patching stuff myself.
I guess I have to be patient a little bit more ;)

Me too webrunner, I'm still waiting on further project development. Btw Forumsmods wrote in his site that ACS Beta 3 will be released on Monday, April 2.

Just in case anyone missed that ;)
