The plugin uses bit.ly to shorten urls. What they're saying there is pretty straightforward. Go there, follow instructions, and enter in the information.

You don't WANT your full url posted to twitter, it'll take up way too much space, which is why services like bit.ly exist.

ok I get that much bu my forum is http://www.chattaboxforums.com so is that what im supposed to be shortening

everything url related is shorted. It will turn http://www.chattaboxforums.com/showt...hp?t=123455315 into something like http://www.bit.ly/abcdefgh

Any thread it tweets will be shortened.

Ok..I can only seem to get the working if I run the task manually. For some reason my scheduled tasks don't seem to be running properly.

Like now some of the scheduled tasks say there run time is 8.55Am today But it's already past that time and the tasks don't seem to be updating

make sure that your footer has the cron link, if you don't know how to do that, just revert the footer.
