Boy do I feel dumb..:o

I hate it when someone asks a question, figures it out and fails to say how so I'll post it no matter how simple it ended up being.

Just wrap the folowing in a font tag.
$ameinfo[title] to this <font color="white">$ameinfo[title]</font>

Things are only simple to the ones that can figure them out. Not all is this simple for and posting it makes it good for many.

By the way this plugin , even with their small issues is a great WORK.. thanks..

I can't really say that I have ever had this problem or that it has ever been reported before. Saying that, if you are using the extract abilities of this system (which most are), then understand that when posts are edited or created, many definitions will actually cause AME to pull the destination URL's web page to extract information out of it (i.e. page titles). If you have several AME links in a post, that meas that AME has to pull several pages from the web for this information. If the destination page(s) is/are unresponsive or slow, then it will slow down saving the post.

Anyhoo, just thought I would give you a bit of background on it. It only happens when saving a post and you can run AME without extraction (thought some definitions require it). However its rarely a problem for users.

HTHs :)

Same exact problem here.

Again, I have just tried to do this several different ways on my local site and the only time it removed AME codes was when the setting: Remove [ame] codes was Yes. That is by design so you can remove AME if you ever chose to.

On new/edited it work!

Yup, thats by design. You will need to use the admincp->ame cp->tools->rebuild options to convert old posts.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked is some of my users might be used to the old vb way and still use it with your mod. Would that cause any issues?

In theory it should be ok, however I havent tested it :)

I've got the same problem with you tube videos not embedding.

Ive tried http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQx6b-6kYMQ

Its not changing the tags as they still show as [url] if I manuaaly change it to [ame] then the video embeds fine.

Add me to the list - same issue as matty above
