I believe the variable it creates is called $unread - try putting that in your template.

That seems to work - many thanks for it. But now, how do I get rid of it displaying in the default location in the navbar? I.e., I want to move it to a different location in my navbar (since the default position is causing layout display problems). I can use the variable to insert it elsewhere - but how do I stop it displaying immediately after the 'Welcome username' location in the navbar? Many thanks. |
You cant without editing the plugin code, which is beyond the level of support I can provide atm.

I clicked mark all forums read and this issue was no longer there thanks anyways.

What issue exactly, what you posted looks fine to me. :)

Actually when there was any new posts it wasn't working. After I marked all forums read & cleared my cache it started working again.
