Hi,

I have a problem with unicode..

If I edit a post and, put the reason in Arabic (windows-1256), the edit reason is sent to the poster as:
Code:

%u062A%u0639%u062F%u064A%u0644 %u0627%u0644%u0631%u0627%u0628%u0637
Regards

I habe a problem with Usernames and special characters.

The Users that UserNames contains special characters becomme no PM about moderating threads. Charackters like <<<>>>.

I'd personally not let users have usernames with those characters in it. < & > will be problematic for obvious reasons if you know the slightest about coding.

Alan ,I appreciate you're not around until early September, but may I offer a functionality suggestion for you to consider during your absence?
I would like to be able to exclude certain usergroups from receiving these PMs.
Might this be a possibility?

I've a strange problem - it may be a bug, had this working fine in 3.5.4 - upgraded the forum to 3.6 and upgraded the product to the 3.6 version. I have some forums that we have excluded from generating auto-pms, and this works fine except for one Moderator, whenever they move/edit/delete a post or thread in that section it still generates a PM, (in fact I think this happens for this Moderator in all the excluded forums). Anyone else seen this happen?

I uninstalled this and deleted the 3 files but for some resaon it still shows up in admincp. (cleared cache/cookies too)

I was wondering if this is gonna work on 3.6.1?

Tom1234 09-22-2006 09:11 PM

bump. Anyone using this on 3.6.1?

SportsZone 09-22-2006 09:17 PM

I am and it works fine!

Tom1234 09-22-2006 09:35 PM

ok, I used "Thread Tools" | "Move Thread" to move a thread to the designated "Recycle Bin Forum" yet the PM the thread starter received says "The following thread that you created has been moved" and lists the Original Forum and a blank for New Forum, rather than just saying it was deleted.

Is that the way it's supposed to work? This is vB 3.6.1.
