I have been using this plugin for years. And I knew it was about to happen. I ran out of slots. I did try going over 20, but it did indeed yield unpredictable results. Are we going to see an upgrade anytime soon for lets say 40 slots?

Thanks

I find the tutorial immensely confusing. Is there a simple set of written instructions that tells me whether I need to insert something manually into a template, what template and where in the template? Endeavoring to follow the visual tutorial has resulted in no banner appearing.

There is no such limit. You can have as many slots as your server can hold, but of course there may be restrictions at that side.

Having said this, I'm sure you are overdoing. In my wildest dreams I could think about a usage of 8 slots :)

Maybe you are taking it too serious. Could you please just take any existing template and paste the following code, after a clean (re)install:
Code:

<!--@vbbanners:0@-->
and save?

The default banners will show. Then, eventually, you could start to make changes and see what happens.

Well, that was too stinkin' easy for words! Many thanks! :)

Sounds like a .htaccess problem. Error 403?

I renamed .htaccess to 1.htaccess but this did not help.

OK thanks, I'll tinker around with it some more.

In addition, I have just realized my banners are NOT showing up.

That happens with any mod. If you uninstall the product, it removes the tables it created, nothing crazy about that.
