downloads = 777 also have the ec-Temp folder in there just in case its in safe mode also 777 (safe mode is off BTW) max upload set to 32 mb uploading a file less the 1 mb i get "The upload failed! Upload error." and at the top of the page "The download directory does not exist!" but it does exist... i still have the default root path to the folder ./downloads/ and my site is setup like Sitename.com/ "VB root directory here and the downloads folder"" rar and zip files are in the extension list any help? |
it seems ppl can bypass the download restriction
i only set regular members 3 files per day and yet one member were able to download 6 files on one day. that member did not have additional usergroup yesterdaze 05:39, 20th May 2008 172.31 MB 165.21.155.15 yesterdaze 05:39, 20th May 2008 22.74 MB 165.21.155.9 yesterdaze 05:35, 20th May 2008 22.74 MB 165.21.155.8 yesterdaze 05:29, 20th May 2008 42.90 MB 165.21.155.14 yesterdaze 05:29, 20th May 2008 22.74 MB 165.21.155.10 yesterdaze 05:29, 20th May 2008 133.21 MB 165.21.155.16 also i dont know why that member can download 3 files at same minute. i did set 60seconds waiting time per download but it doesnt seem this user needed to wait |

This is a great mod! I have a question. Due to the requirements of a software we're supporting (drag and drop directly into the software), we need to link directly to the uploaded file on the webserver. By default, DownloadsII will pass the file through downloads.php. However, we want to link directly to the file. E.g. if you upload "image.jpg", it should link directly to http://<webserver/downloads/image.jpg and not to http://<webserver/downloads.php?xxxx I know to do this in the template, but I don't know what the variable is for the correct URL string. @Notafinga: Your forums is setup like www.yoursite.com/forums/downloads?
If yes, my suggestion about the double dot was wrong. But in that case I don't know what's causing the problem. |
yup the site is set up as www.URL.com/forums/downloads
