FYI: When I upgraded to vB3.8.0 Beta 1 both my General and Team channel were purged/wiped clean. The chatbox still 'works' but previous chat prior to the upgrade will be lost.

Probably because there is no such version. ;) 3.7.3 is highest.

And if you read, upgrading from any major version purges. It says to backup the chats to an XML if you want them prior to upgrading/updating.

It's an FYI; and, Yes, there is a vB3.8.0 Beta 1 out. Catch up.

Plus, there's no way to load backed up chat; it's gone.

Beta's don't count as basing code on. ;) Hence the Beta.

There never was a way to load backed up chat. He's not implemented that feature. Also, it's not supported on 3.8.x ;)

What I do is backup my chatbox tables in the database BEFORE I upgrade, then I just re-import them back in and overwrite them.

backup these two tables individually...

I've installed this on 3.7.3 PL 1 and although the chat box is showing up on my forum pages, it just shows that it's in "inactive mode" even though the options are set to "activate chat box". I've tried the refresh button, etc. but nothing is activating the chat. Any Idea what the problem could be?

Hi All,

The chat works fine and I have it installed with no problems at all..

However, the "archives" do not work - when I click archives the explorer page not found appears.

Any ideas?
