NP. It's easy to get frustraded looking for it with as many posts as there are in this thread now. I wish a mod would update the first post with the new info or something.

DruidToolz 03-20-2006 07:34 PM

You know what i have just noticed about this Paypal Donations.. When u add a button, i don't see an option on where you can edit the button.. If there is a way to do this could someone please help me or if this isn't in the Mod then can you put this in there Cloudrunner.. It would be a big help to everyone.. Thnx

Tyegurl 03-20-2006 07:37 PM

you can go to the "view all active" or "view all inactive button" acp click on that and it should show you radio buttons and then View then edit and then update

Ncturnal 03-20-2006 08:02 PM

....and you can forget about Cloudrunner ever coming back to this thread. :(

Tyegurl 03-20-2006 08:29 PM

okay mine is up and running.....wait for someone to donate....forgot to take it off test

Tyegurl 03-20-2006 10:18 PM

okay i know i read somewhere how to get the donations to show up but i seem to be having a problem with actually finding it. can someone help?

vbreal 03-21-2006 09:15 PM

yo i changed servers and all of a sudden the donation worked automatically. i don't have to do shit now. all i did was move from godaddy to another server. i don't have the slightest idea why that made a difference

Tyegurl 03-21-2006 09:16 PM

i have godaddy and i didn't have to move.... just had to change that one line.....

You know you make a really good point there. The one site I have it up and running is on one server that uses Cpanel and the other site that I've wasted over 20 hours of trying to get this to work is on another server is using Plesk 7.5. Nothing to do differently with installing and setting this hack so maybe the problem lies with the server or services we are/aren't getting.

dang how u going to verify that

KevinL 03-27-2006 01:15 AM

Mine works just fine.

Hostboard 03-27-2006 11:34 AM

I am starting to wonder if people are missing the fact that besides VB you also need supporting files that are OS dependent.

You NEED GD libraries, as well as CURL capabilities for this to work. Even then they need to be the right version.

RidinHighSpeeds 03-29-2006 02:46 PM

I installed the mod, everything looks good...but this navigation part:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...9&d=1120415943

does not show up on the forums. I checked to make sure everything is installed/uploaded, and it is. I uninstalled it, re-installed it and yet again, there is no navigation bar on the left???

Hostboard 03-29-2006 07:01 PM

You need to edit the XML file as noted twice in this thread. Something about the newer VB version wants all lower case "vbulletin" as opposed to "vBulletin"

Soljah 03-29-2006 10:27 PM

I am getting this error. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Please explain in detail as to what you are reffering to. I am no programmer by any means. My story is 2 forums on 2 different servers. 1 computer that installed and created both. 1 works and the other doesn't. Tried countless time on the one that still doesn't work and still the member are not recognised after they make a donation. You are the first to mention GD Libraries and CURL capabilities.

The first is GD, which is bundled with PHP 4.3.0 and later and often available with earlier releases. The GD v2+ library is preferable to the v1+ library so always choose v2 if you're given the opportunity by your host. GD supports the following file types: GIF, JPEG, and PNG.

The second supported library is ImageMagick v6 by ImageMagick Studio LLC. ImageMagick is an executable binary that must be installed at the server level to be called by PHP. Only the identify and convert binaries from ImageMagick are required by vBulletin. ImageMagick supports the following file types: GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and PSD. ImageMagick also has better support for handling animated GIF.

thought better explained via vB.

curl is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, FTPS, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP. curl supports HTTPS certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication (Basic, Digest, NTLM, Negotiate, kerberos...), file transfer resume, proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks.

rmkcleaning 03-31-2006 07:55 AM

I seem to have it working fine for now with one exception. The members avatars are not showing up on the donor page. The "This Donor has no avatar" image is showing instead. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Lucas 04-04-2006 12:53 AM

I'm getting bigger numbers on "active goals" then what it is actually donated and I don't understand why?

your display goal numbers are actually larger, as in pixel size, then what they should be in comparrison to some other pixel size?

Lucas 04-05-2006 05:55 PM

Should I say "wtf"?... :S

What does the pixel size have to do with the amount it has been donated?...

that's what i'm trying to figure out.

Lauren 04-14-2006 06:07 PM

I was curious on how do I make the module instead of showing "our top donors" change it to "recent donations" and show the amount a person has recently donated and the most recent donor.

AdminCP >> PayPal Donations >> Donation Settings >> Show Top Donors, or Last Donors? >> NO

Choose "yes" to use Top Donors on your site donors listing, or "no" to use Last Donors.

I know you're talking about the module, but this settings also affects my module... and the donation pages. I forget if I modifed it or not.

Desihunk 04-21-2006 08:38 PM

Will this work fine for 3.5.4?

you need to read the last 10 or so pages of this thread for all the answers to the questions you will have while installing this.

Mikecp421 04-23-2006 12:27 AM

refresh your ACP or reinstall it, it worked flawlessly, you will get a link on the left hand border strictly for the paypal donations

why not just give the answer? Why did you even bother to post?

look in your cpnav_paypal_donations.xml file and change the vBulletin to vbulletin....refresh your admincp

see if that helps

'cause then people will never learn to take care of things themselves.

i would say that reading is an integral part of forums (in general), and if they can't handle that aspect of a forum, they have absolutely no business installing hacks.

Hopefully next time they will execute a basic search and find the 5+ repeats of the solution for this problem. It saves everyone a lot of time when they can find their solutions without assistance.

i agree but why post anything at all if it isn't constructive? why not post..."search for blah blah blah" why be rude? how do you know that the person didn't all ready search? i mean sheesh this is 70 pages long...how many updates were done since page one? how do you know which goes with which? i mean heck you have people like me in here giving advice 25 pages back....i had no clue....don't have to be rude. lend a helping hand or don't say anything is my opinion.

btw i have a fully modded forum i did all by myself...and i only have one mod that doesn't work...i don't know much about all this stuff but its how i learned....asking questions and learning from people who were there to offer support. my enthusiasm didn't die cuz i didn't know what i was doing....i learned. i also learned how to search....i have about 50-60 mods installed all of my own doing....no i didn't create them...that would take a miracle lol. but i did install them all by myself....learning by being civil....not rude or obnoxious....by being helpful....try pointing the post out.....doesn't mean you have to tell the person just say "look here"

i will remember to never ask you for help. lol you aren't very friendly or helpful. YOu obviously seem to know so much more than the rest of us. Why not share the info instead of being all haughty about it. i hope i will see the day that you ask for help when it could've been easily searched... oh wait maybe that day has all ready come and gone but you are too arrogant to say.....

and to post the solution takes 5 seconds....it would also save newer people the 2 hours looking for what they need. post it here on the last page....i mean sheesh. you people are incredible. you mean to tell me that you all have never once asked for help? this is how you treat someone who does? incredible.

you've just confirmed my point... i HAVE shared info along with many many other users here. everything that needs to be stated has been stated. every question that has been asked has more or less been asked at this point. feel free to search my posts - i highly doubt you'll find any questions asked that were previously asked. it's not being high and mighty, it's being resourceful and understanding of how forums work. if you don't understand that, then i'll say again, you have no business trying to install a hack such as this. just move along.
