I'm having a problem with this mod
it seems that only moderators and admins can give warnings
I have 2 different usergroups with mod priviliges and they can't warn

1: Head Moderatos (with super moderator access)
2: Hall Of Fame (with moderators access)

and they both can't warn

what to do ?

Second, you have to add your additional user groups in the proper fields in the Manage Warning Options page. Check for Super Moderators Usergroups and Moderator Usergroups. Keep in mind, that if you add other groups there, except the ones supplied by vB (5, 6 and 7) you have to enter both the standard ones and your additional ones.

Hi sv1cec,

I have updated de hack from 3.4.10 to 3.4.14, i have updated de files from 3.4.10 to 3.4.14 but I have 1 error in the admincp when I point to the "Statistics - Warnings per Warner"

Have you first adjust your warning options and save them? Some how it looks as if the program does not know which are your admin groups, super mod groups and mod groups. Since these are set by default to 5,6,7 if you enter nothing, I assume that either you have never saved your Warning Options, or your settings are not there. Try going to Warning Options and save your preferences. If the error comes up again, let me know.

And please, do not post your questions here, use the AWS Forum for that, the link is at the top of every page, before the hack's description.

I was forget to edit the "Warners options", fields were still empty, and now it's working 100%

Why does the the warn.php page in admincp redirect to an error page?

it seems to be a template error (perhaps on my end). This happens after I ban someone, it re-directs me to the post or tries to but I get the 404.error html error page..

Does anyone know what template I could fix this in? Please help thank you

When mine was doing this it was just a case of needing to re-upload warn.php and double check my settings...whatever was wrong it was in one of those 2 places for me....if that vauge info helps you...more power to you :p

Sure, in AdminCP, if you go into any of the Warning System menu choices, it is right on the top. In the forums, if you try to warn someone, it is shown at the top of the warning form.

slim_cutty there is no warn.php page in admincp. If you try to warn someone from admincp and end up with an error, you should have made some mistake in the admincp/user.php edits.

i think i am in trouble i have upgraded my board to 3.5 and did not uninstall this mod which is great hack i must say.
thing board is working fine only thing is i still have all the optons in the admincp any idea how i can remove this i already tried with the uninstaller which did not work.

ok so um......



i was installing the AWS hack, and the entire thing is the same as the Terry's Show Banned Users hack...well, the code pertaining to the banning.php file. whats this about?



one of yall need to give someone credit for that, cuz your stealing code to use it for your own benefit, and that sucks without giving credit.

Before you go around accusing people of using someone else's work, study the two hacks:

Terry's work (which I was not aware of, until now), is using a table called banlist. My hack does not use any such table. I rely on the tables used by vB itself.

Second, if you check this hack, you will see that it was based on Zero Tolerance's Warning hack. I have given full credit to ZT, everywhere possible. Why do you think that I would have a problem giving credit to someone else, if I had used his code?

Third, if you say that AWS is the same as Terry's hack, then you must have no idea about what AWS is. Read the description and tell me which are the common parts of AWS and Terry's hack. Terry's shows the last few banned members. AWS does about 150 things more. I wonder how you came to the conclusion that "the entire thing is the same as the Terry's Show Banned Users hack".

through cpanel, when i goto warn a user, i get this error:

i click Warn User, search for username, do the drop down, click Warn User, and i get taken to Warn.php with this error

nonono...what im sayin is yall using the same code stuff for the banlist viewing it looks like. i dunno nething bout the ZT addon, i just adding this to my site and seen the simularities and was wondering if one of you might be taking someone elses work. just lettin yall know ;) btw, u got 1 hell of a addon here! took me like...40 minutes to cake through the file edits and get em right, but im hit with some problems, ill be posting soon...just posted 1 above this post.

ok i think i fixed the first option. i had to set yes to allow warnings for non posts....

interesting.

ok so what i did was i warned a test account, with level 2, and it set them to banned mode. how does the warning ranks work?

Do me a favor will you? Read the description of the hack first, right on top here.

It tells you where you can post support questions.

Second, read the instructions which came with the hack.

And finally go to your admincp, Warning System, Manage Warning Options and set those according to your preferences.

Then post your support questions in the proper place.

If you are not sure that someone has copied someone else's code, do not post anything. As I said, the two hacks are miles apart.

I installed this on my vB 3.0.7 after installing ZT's Warning Hack V1.5.. After the installation I tried to warn a member, but the the page loaded a blank page.I asked the other admin to try and he also got a blank page. Can you help?

I'm gonna suggest the usual while someone else has time to get to you....

Check that you set up your options in the AdminCP
Double Check that you have your templates done from the install


If its neither of those, then I got nuthin :p

This is small typo I found, which confused me for less than a minute, so it's non-critical.

This was in the last step of install_warn.php. The file to be deleted should be upgrade_warn.php and not update_warn.php. Just thought I'd mention this in case you feel like changing it for the next version. The installation instructions have the correct file name though.

Note: Still installing this script...will let u know how it goes :)

Hello,
I install the AWS.
After i'm istalled it id did some test.
But I have some problem, when I try to give warning to some member I have to options, No or Yes.
If I chose yes it's giving alart...
If I chose No it's giving ban...
Where I can give only warning?
