Use the migration tool in AdminCP to move users from YAFB to vBulletin based integration. It's simple and very straightforward. Also, all known issues (filed here) are fixed for vBulletin 3 and 4. Happy summertime everyone :up:

Nope.

There are features that the vBulletin 4.0.3 integration doesn't have. It's the forums owner choice to make a move (using the migration tool) or keep using YAFB until 4.0.4 is out with a deeper integration. Also, the product is still kept alive as there are a lot of people out there who are still using vBulletin 3

You can disable YAFB for a while to make sure everything work smoothly (disable completely through the Product Manager). If there's no problem, you can simply uninstall through vBulletin interface and delete files. :D

You can open up fbb_navbar_button (or fbb_vb4_navbar_button) template to copy and paste to where you want

The FBML version of the Like button will NOT work when the Connect stuff has been initialized on the page.

It's because Connect is being phased out in favour of the new Graph API, and it's not something that can be easily remedied without fully re-coding YAFB, as far as I can tell.

Any form of 'Connect' will wipe out any FBML on the page, I think.

Awesome mod. I had no issue with installing it or testing in various browsers. I plan to upgrade this evening to the latest patch to see if there is any value add.. if not I will roll back.

An issue with YAFB register on-the-fly and vBulletin 3.8 (3.8.4 specifically) has been found. For those who updated 3.3.1 and got problem with register on-the-fly, you may want to get the latest 3.3.2 or apply the patch in the first post.

Same issue, here... Can't understand...

I have a fresh new install on a vb 3.8.5
Even though I have connected to facebook first, I still can not login or create a new one, I keep getting the following error message when clicking "Connect with Facebook" button:

"Please establish the connection to Facebook before continue"

The mod after configured properly and when trying to use facebook account will not let me click the button and get the following message: Please establish the connection to Facebook before continue .

I followed all the steps and have configured everything correctly, because this failure occurs?

My version is 3.8.5.

I'm seeing this in the logs a lot. What exactly does it mean, and if it's a problem, how do I fix it?

I've been using this mod for a while and really like it. :) The problem is that the forum thread links that are posted at Facebook are showing up on my "personal" page which is my name. I don't want that. What I want is for the forum thread links, etc. to show up on my Forums Facebook page. Is there anyway to get this modification changed so that it will post to my Forums Facebook page and have it stop posting on my personal page?

I've got a lot more links where people (fans) are signing up on my Forums Facebook page than the few people I have on my personal page. It would seem I'd get more traffic from the Forums Facebook homepage having the thread links posted there.

I can't find a way to change this at Facebook. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)

does this plugin support canceling the connection (unconnect from facebook)? some of my forum users asked for that.

The only issue I'm having is:

When you click the Connect link in the navbar, the Facebook login window opens up. After you log in, the window closes and nothing happens - and clicking the Connect link again does nothing.

Anyone know how to fix this?

With 4.0.4. Publishing suite it posts broken links to Facebook if you comment on articles. Encountered the problem at www.enerla.net

Besides this: it would be nice to have an option to announce actual articles.

I've a question about this feature: I've activated this option but my members don't get the Faceboock security message for the Email permission and in the profile is certainly no E-Mail address inserted.

Did i miss something?

This mod has been broken since Facebook switched off Connect in favor of the new graph API. The mod hasn't been updated to reflect that.
