Bananalive, did you get time to look at this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=987 (its on page 66 of this thread)

rtt.pyro 05-19-2009 05:41 PM

Bananalive,

Thank you for your help!

I have one more question for you. I have everything working, but I would like to be able to have my members fill out the form from a child forum that I already have made. Is it possible to do this? If so how? I appreciate any help you can offer as I am still very new to vBulletin.

Thanks in advance.

rtt.pyro 05-20-2009 05:12 PM

Also, if what I asked in my reply above is not possible, is there a way for my average user to get to a form if the forms are not on the quick link or nav bar without them knowing the url of it?

Thanks again

Thanks again

If you give them a link to the form they will be able to access it.

Create a thread in the child forum with link to the form included in it.

It's not really possible as the variables used for vbeditors are altered by easy forms to allow multiple vbeditors on one form.

Hi again,

I seem to have run into a new complication. I am trying to allow unregistered/guests to use a form I have set up with an image verification. The problem is, 2 image verifactions show up when a guest trys to fill out the form. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks again!

The captcha will show up automatically for unregistered guests (required by vbulletin). So you do not need a human verification question.

Check following file exists: /includes/class_humanverify.php

And check the following template exists: humanverify

Hi There great addon !
just trying to get our questions all sorted for our guild recruitment page in WoW.

Is it possible to have one of the questions where they enter the character name and then the forums turn it into a Armoury URL ?

Example:

Please Enter your character name: "Elbulus"
Then when they post the form it turns into this :
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...pine&n=Elbulus

So somehow make the forum see that Question 1 = {Answer 1}
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Daggerspine&n={Answer 1}

Many Thanks
Elb

Edit form
  1. Select option 'Redirect user after form is submitted' (at bottom)
  2. Form Hook: Before Submit:
    Code:

    $form[redirecturl] = "http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Daggerspine&n=$q[181]";
  3. Replace 181 with appropriate question hash

Example: http://www.bananalive.co.cc/misc.php?do=form&fid=41

Elbulus 05-26-2009 04:42 PM

Thanks for the reply , is there a way to make it so that when you view the submitted form in it's thread it will have " Character Name: *Name* with there name being a hyperlink to there profile ?

rtt.pyro 05-27-2009 06:18 AM

Thanks again for the help!

I have decided to use this add-on along with another add-on but it isnt working as I thought it would. I know the other add-on isnt yours, and im not sure who I should be asking, but maybe you could shed some light on to this issue.

The other add-on is called "Cyb - Auto Reply" and it can be found at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201305.

What i'm trying to do is this:

1.) Easy form creates a form which creates a new thread in a sub forum.

2.) Auto reply then replies to the thread that was created by easy form.

The problem is, auto reply doesnt seem to realize that easy form created a thread. I tested manually posting into the sub forum where easy form creates threads, and the auto reply worked just fine. So for whatever reason, the way easy form creates a thread is different then the way it would be created by a real user.

Do you happen to know of a way to make it so Auto reply can tell that easy form created a thread?

Thanks in advance!

Find in plugin: Easy Forms Part 1
PHP Code:

/*($hook = vBulletinHook::fetch_hook('newthread_post_complete')) ? eval($hook) : false;*/

Replace:
PHP Code:

($hook vBulletinHook::fetch_hook('newthread_post_complete')) ? eval($hook) : false

try using the custom output.

rtt.pyro 05-27-2009 10:27 PM

thanks! that worked perfectly!

Since this was in the code already, but turned off, does this code have any negative side effects?

thanks again.

GrossKopf 05-28-2009 08:23 AM

Ok, maybe the answer to my question should be "If you don't know, you shouldn't install this hack." and if that's the case, I'll say thank you and uninstall.

I followed the instructions and imported the xml file but where do I go from there? How do I create a form? Am I missing something obvious?

Go to (your forum URL)/misc.php?do=forms

That should get you started. :)

It shouldn't do. It is commented out to avoid possible conflicts with other mods, but there shouldn't really be any

Do as Elenna said

* Set usergroups options
admincp -> vboptions -> Easy Form Options
* View/Create forms at
http://your-forum.com/forums/misc.php?do=forms

Above that you should have link called: Create New Form

http://www.yourforum.om/misc.php?do=newform

GrossKopf 05-28-2009 02:10 PM

DOH! Nevermind. I brain farted. I didn't realize I had to import that xml that was included with it a second time! Should be working now :)

GrossKopf 05-28-2009 03:46 PM

Ok, I assume that if you don't put anything in "Custom Form Output", it just prints in one continuous line? I have the output going to a specific forum and I need line breaks and different fonts, etc.

Anyone have an example of BBCode to make it look nice in the forum post?

Baigo 05-28-2009 05:10 PM

When I use {q_1} in thread title it doesn't work, it just shows a blank space. Any way to solve that?

You'll need to edit the "Answer BBCode" boxes. If you don't want answers formatted in any special way, and just want a line break or two after each one, leave the first box blank, and in the second one, put in:

\r\n\r\n

Great mod.

Thx.

Works just fine for me.

I have added this to another message board but have forgotten how to redirect the New Thread in the specific forum to the necessary form.

Please advise.

How can I Re-direct/ force users to submit form rather than click new thread?
  1. Create plugin newthread_start

    PHP Code:

    if (in_array($forumid, array(1,2,3)))

    header'Location: http://www.your-site.com/forum/misc.php?do=form&fid=1' ) ;

    Change 1,2,3 for appropriate forumids.
