Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

That happens on every page with this enabled. What do I do?

superjeff 05-12-2009 10:08 AM

I will relase the 3.8 version of this during the next week, i will include the bugfix and the feature added, i hope you will like it.

Couldn't wait for you to release it Jeff :)

This add on is the only reason for me NOT to upgrade to 3.8 series so far. I'm glad you finally decide to release 3.8 version soon! :) Kudos & many thanks!!!

mattltm 05-14-2009 07:05 AM

Great news. I have been having withdrawal symptoms since I moved to 3.8. Keep up the good work.

Note: vbulletin will have by default a rewrite system from version 4.0 (beta should coming next month, april). I relly suggest you to wait, and not use this product. If the vb's rewrite will be great, i will no more update this product.
they are sooo late

While it would be nice to know what's happening, I've had no problems with this product and VB 3.8.

Peace,

Thanks Mr Steinberg, :)

Do you mean current version works good in 3.8 ? I haven't tested yet. Please let us know the detail. I look forward to update to 3.8 ASAP.

Thanks!

Precisely. I am using it on the following forums.

http://forum.theparacast.com

http://forum.techbroadcasting.com

http://forum.rockoids.com

The first is our most active. I saw no change in performance or compatibility with TFSEO 2.1 when I went to 3.8. As you can see from the footers, they're at 3.8.2 now.

Peace,
Gene

lucalucius 06-14-2009 09:21 AM

How is possible to edit .htaccess file to delete from the url structure the forum id?

Best regards

monkeywarplane 06-28-2009 03:26 PM

Hey guys,

I searched the thread, but I couldn't find anything referencing my problem about linking to specific posts (or going to "last post") which doesn't work on my forum and is a huge hassle for really large threads for members to navigate/follow. For example:

http://forums.interbasket.net/f18/an...ost284224.html

I am running TfSEO 1.1.4 (Light URL-Rewrite with other little SEO customization) - Any help would be appreciated.

Stuart

Warning: require_once([path]/includes/functions_tfseo.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/includes/init.php(293) : eval()'d code on line 3

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/content/x/x/x/xxxxxx/html/includes/functions_tfseo.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/x/x/x/xxxxxxxx/html/includes/init.php(293) : eval()'d code on line 3

eric8476 07-08-2009 01:01 AM

I deleted the files, uploaded them in the directories where the error messages showed and the forum and admincp are ok.

Hello!

I am interested in how to Croatian characters such as Š (uppercase) to rewrite S?

Small letter š is transformed into s, while Š in -.

Thank you!

As it stands I can not access any article I have written in the life of the articles section.

Sorry for the sour tone of my last post, but imagine my frustration when I realized I could not access the heart and soul of my site.

I posted this long ago, and am still awaiting some kind of response. SuperJeff, is there a way for me to fix this issue or not?

Are you sure that url rewrite is added as a module in your php file and that url rewrite work?
Did you do a test to ensure that url rewrite is working?

I mean he's tool work fine for me, so for it to not work for you, there must be something?
What version of php are you using?
Can you do a test of a simple url rewrite?

djlotus 07-27-2009 04:53 PM

I had this installed as per directions. I had a conflict with vBdynamics so I uninstalled the mod as per directions. Non of the URL's changed. They all are still rewritten as they were by this mod. Do you suggest I reinstall this mod and try again? Did I maybe miss something on the uninstall?

NeDra 07-27-2009 05:05 PM

No idea, but what I mean is if url rewrite is installed create a new rule that redirect
http://www.mysite.com/urlrewrite/index.html
to
http://www.mysite.com/index.html
just to test that the url rewrite mod actually work.

If it doesn't work, it just obvious that having all your url modified with this tool will make your forum unaccessible.

Code:

Options +Indexes
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^urlrewrite/index.html$ /index.html

Just a simple test to make sure that the url rewrite work, if it does work, please confirm what option do you use inside the tool?
If it doesn't work, I can't really help you, google is your friend and get it to work.
As soon as it work, you can give it a shot and retry this addon.

djlotus 07-27-2009 05:27 PM

My forum is accessible. The articles that were posted while having this mod installed have become inaccessible after having this mod uninstalled. The url's to the articles did not default back to original after mod was installed. I am inquiring if the author of the mod or anyone else can advise me on how to fix the issue, if in fact, it is fixable.

NeDra 07-27-2009 05:33 PM

oh, now I understand the issue hum >.<
Talk about an issue... I though you wanted to use this mod instead.

Try to install the mod but to disactivate it for it to not be working, see if it will do a quick fix.
If that doesn't help, you will need to look inside the code to figure it out...

You don't have backup of the code I guess...

djlotus 07-27-2009 05:37 PM

Back up of which code?

I have reinstalled vBulletin, vBadvanced, and vBdynamics, and it did not help. I still have my original downloaded version of this mod, just not uploaded on my server.

sheep92032 08-03-2009 08:57 AM

Are you serious? I'm not installing a mod just because someone can't be bothered to say what it does..

nick-harper 08-04-2009 12:57 PM

I still cant get it to go to the latest post when I am on the forum home, how would I fix this?

southie 08-11-2009 02:08 PM

any updates or news for this script ?

djlotus 09-14-2009 06:39 PM

This hack is garbage, and so is the "support" offered by it's author.

Sad. He said he would have a 3.8-savvy version and that's months ago.

Evidently, the lad decided school work or real life was far more important than fixing the problems.

Peace,
