Your php.ini memory_limit directive needs to be set to allow PHP to use 78 MB (or more) memory. (the default memory_limit setting is "128" for "128 MB")

I am receiving a server error on my forum when i upload .htaccess to my forum root

Any ideas? I am using XAMPP (apache/mysql/php).

When I remove the .htacess file, the site works fine.

Also all the links and documentation lists sitemap_index.xml.gz to be located in /forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz but mine seems to be being generated in/forum/vbseo_sitemap/data/sitemap_index.xml.gz

I installed Ok.. it was working fine, but since i install the VBSEO google, cant find my sitemap. I know it is a .htaacces problem. But i dont know what to put in there, only i put my domain.

Hi, recently we had to reinstall our vBulletin due to a server crash, since then the sitemap generator is weird. It generates the sitemap files, but not the log entries, so there's nothing in the reports list. I tried to uninstall it, delete all files, reinstall it but the problem persists.

The data folder is filled with the sitemap_*.xml.gz but there's no log files, which I think are the files that the Reports List gets. Any ideas?

Now my VBSEO sitemap generator can't ping the search engines. Which function does the script use to ping?

EDIT: nevermind, updated to newer version, now it's fine.

For no reason whatsoever, on December 18, this stopped working. Google says 404 not found, look up in FTP, and sure enough there is no sitemap in the folder Google is looking for it in.
It generates the sitemap, but then it just "poof" dissapears. When i generate it manually, and immediately look in the folder via FTP program, the file is not there.
I'm completely lost.

How can pages created in Logician's Webtemplates be included in the sitemap?

When the sitemap is generated by the task manager the urls in the extra-urls.txt are not included in the sitemap.

If I manually create the sitemap by clicking on the link in the ACP the extra-urls.txt file is included.

Why is this so?

AdminCP > vBSEO > vBSEO Sitemap Reports > Show Reports List > Sitemap Generator History > Find most recent sitemap from column an click View details > Log in to Google Webmaster Tools Dashboard and select Sitemaps > Highlight or manually type in each URL listing of your sitemap(s) under vBSEO Sitemap Generator History into the Google Webmaster Tools Sitemaps page > Submit all the sitemaps you have listed > Done

Example:

Google My Sitemaps http://www.yoursite.com
copy and past in the blank field /forum/sitemap_1.xml.gz and hit Submit Sitemap

Repeat as necessary for all additional sitemaps.

bizarre issue in that sitemap generator is only generating a single file, not multiple like expected. the forum is fairly large, with over 5million posts, and several hundred forum areas.

im not filtering/excluding any forums, i have show posts and show threads set to YES.

the only output i get when running the script is :
i truly expected it to create more sitemap files, and find more items to index.

i am also running vB SEO on vb 3.6.5

is that any way to retrieve the password? i lost my password =(
please help me...

Does anyone have any idea what is causing to happen? The AskJeeves spider reports this same message every day. My robots.txt does not exclude any spiders. It's set to allow all. Yahoo Slurp, Google, MSN, etc.. all index the site just fine. This is just a problem with AskJeeves.

vBulletin does not have an option to delete a scheduled task. So, how do you recommend removing the existing task for the sitemap generator for those of us planning on performing an upgrade?

Seems to be working as I get an email each day. Well actually I get two emails each day. However when I click on http://www.mysite.com/forums/vbseo_sitemap/ I get an error 500. Did I miss installing something?
