Well for the lite version I believe I disabled one of those functions, not both though. You should recieve notifications for new posts or threads. (i forgot)

The lite version has less features. If you download the .xml of the lite version, inside the admincp you can compare the versions by seeing what's disabled.

Question before I buy - if you disable the main vbulletin notifications - which I would want to do - what happens to notifications such as awards/achievements? Do they just show up no where at all or will they show on the new panel?

Is just me, or v2 is A LOT faster than v3?

Great Mod, I will definitely buy the gold version! I do have one problem though, for some reason the notifications system only pops up when im logged in as an admin but when Im just a member it does not appear. Why is this?

You'll need to add usergroups configuration in the admincp Notifications area. Just add "2" which is registered users, and other usergroups

Highly unlikely. You might be

#1. Using a conflicting mod
#2. Did you uninstall #2 and then install #3. The db structure has changed
