The steam button is already a template file which can be overwritten in any custom template by editing the "stc_signinbutton" template

Great addon, very useful.

Got a few questions though. How would I go about making this addon retrieve the actual Steam ID of the account (You know.. steam_0:0:123456) and having it create a profile field with it? Also, I just can't seem to get the steam icon to work in the postbit, dunno what I'm doing wrong, followed your instructions to the dot.

- Fixed vBulletin not redirecting properly when linking/unlinking the steam account
- Fixed vBulletin sometimes redirecting to the wrong url after a successful steamid login.
- Added a Maintenance Task to reassign steam-dependant usergroups. This should help with users having the correct usergroup
        when one of these values is changed in the admincp.
There has also been an update for steam mini profiles. So if you use those, make sure to update them after you updated steam connect.

The Steam_0:0:111 styled id is saved in the usertable and should be available at all times in the userinfo via:
{vb:raw userinfo.steam_code}
where userinfo is the varname of the according userinfo array.
How would you like the profile field to appear? I'm not sure I know exactly what you want to have. A profile field in the postbit with the other user information like number of posts and such? Or as an editable profile field in the userCP?

I just updated, and for some reason in the AdminCP at the steam connect settings, I see:

With at the left: Dependant Steamgroup identifier

At the right, an "option" text being "stc_secondary_group_id"

Is this normal? Seeing it's text, I can't fill any option in it.

Oddly, the text became a type area again.. It works :o. Really weird.

Though, the previous issue I had, is still here:

After I re-logged in using steam account (unlink & linking again) I checked my own profile to see if I'm in a new group.. however:

I'm not in it. And I'm the only member within the group, as you can see. (membercount = 1), which is me.

Any idea what might be wrong?

I did so, checking my profile now.. Still not in the "test" usergroup. The maintenance also ended with:
