I installed, chose my folder and then ran the task manager and got an email showing me a DB error. After processing all the tables the page said:
Processed Database in 170.889 seconds [Compressing Combined File] : Processed File Compression in 27.256 seconds Backup Completed Successfully And then: Database error in vBulletin 4.0.5: Database error in vBulletin 4.0.5: Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO cronlog (varname, dateline, description, type) VALUES ('cbu_crontask', #########, 'Backup Completed Successfully', 0); MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away Error Number : 2006 Request Date : Wednesday, July 28th 2010 @ 07:51:13 PM Error Date : Wednesday, July 28th 2010 @ 07:54:32 PM Script : http://www.website.com/forum/admincp...cron&cronid=20 Referrer : http://www.website.com/forum/admincp....php?do=modify IP Address : ##.###.###.## Username : username Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : From what I could tell, the file did not save in the specified folder either. Any help would be great. This looks like a welcome addition to my site. Thanks for the work put into this. |
The file must have saved somewhere, otherwise you would not get the timing messages.
The database error means vbulletin failed to insert the completed ok message in the cronlog - the actual error suggests the database connection of the session running the task timed out. |

Installed. When I click 'run now' nothing happens tho. It just sits there and does not do anything? :(
I created a folder for backups like this, and this is how I entered it in the cron job. Do I need to add httpdocs, 2 dots, one dot? ./forums/backups/ This is the full path it is in (below),so please direct me? thx :) englishbulldognews.com/httpdocs/forums/backups/ I am sure it is just an error in how I have entered the folder path, but I do not want to mess with it too much before I mess up my forum LOL |
If it does nothing at all you have some sort of installation issue i would guess, it will always attempt to run, even if it then gives an error.

hmmm, that is strange. I uplaoded the files, but I will reupload again tomorrow and see what happens. thx
Yes, all it says when I hit 'run now' is 'Automatic database backup for vbulletin.' But nothing else happens.... |
will this work with 3.8.x?
